Close US factories and move production to Mexico. Hershey did that all through the 2000's. Keep that in mind next time you buy a bag of Jolly Ranchers. They're made in Mexico now.

I don't know about you, but I don't like the thought of dirty Mexicans touching what I eat.

agreed completely. I dont buy any of that junk anymore. i havent had a Jolly Rancher in probably ten years, and I cant say ive seen any recently either. I dont like buying things from other countries.

American Corporations and private businesses are so greedy and unchristian in their values its enough to make someone snap if you dwell on it very long.

Re: Hostess should have followed Hershey's lead
I think Hostess will just go to a number of local contract manufacturers and have their products made there. Easier actually. Everything is done for them. No strikes. If a batch goes wonky, its not their problem.

I am just astounded at the complete stupidity of the Bakers Union. Surely they knew how easy it would be for Hostess to have their products made elsewhere.

A shame really. It was a Lose/Lose scenario.
