So this whole Arab Spring op was as some had feared an attempt to set up a Caliphate but, considering the well known and understood longstanding cooperation in intelligence and foreign operations between the US and Israel, was perhaps an attempt to give the Muslims a sense of confidence so that Israel could finally get hit hard enough by them to justify in the eyes of observers a truly decisive retaliatory strike?
