There are on average about 150 earthquakes of magnitude 6.0 or higher every year.
Calm the fuck down.
Quoting: Jebus 150 per year. Exactly. Can you do a simple math? 150 divided by 52 weeks (the number of weeks in a year) equals 2.88 quakes per week on average. You may interpret 2.88 as 3 quakes per week, but even so, there is NOTHING NORMAL in what happened in the past week. Because we had 8 quakes in just 7 days, 8 quakes in a week! There was a quake of 6.0 or above EVERY SINGLE DAY in the past week How is that normal? as you said, its an average, so there were probably periods when a 6+ quake did not hit in more than 3 days.. maybe even for a week.. and yes it was normal
