I guess I am the only "survivor". I understand how nuclear weapons work, and I know that you can't cover everything, nor would you want to. Major cities would probably be screwed, but if you can get out to the country somewhere, maybe you've got a chance. Find some fallout free zones and start a new life, and a new generation. Nuclear weapons are not quite as destructive as people think, just avoid the initial blast and fallout and you will probably be ok. Make sure you are eating/drinking from non-radiated sources. Go somewhere less populated and start a new life with other survivors.


And most importantly, get it right the next time, do away with all war and settle all differences with mediators and words. I want this world so scared of the consequences of any war that they would never even THINK of violence again. Violence must be abolished and anyone practicing it needs to be dealt with harshly. Then re-establish a society built around the principles of peace. Make sure everyone on the planet does the same thing and voila, no more reason to even build weapons. All those resources are now put into peaceful operations such as getting back into space. Setting up colonies on other moons and planets. Traveling to the stars. Ensuring that mankind will never be destroyed and will be spread throughout our entire galaxy.

We have no guarantees of tomorrow, or even the next minute. Who knows, you could always get hit by a truck!

I would hope for at least an hours notice. That would give me time to get to my bug out. I already live in a unpopulated area so traffic would not be an issue. We have 2 other families which would meet us there if possible( all like minded) . We understand there is no guarantee that we would survive but we have planned and prepared for just this occasion and with our FAITH we would hope and pray for the best. I pray that peace is given a chance and cooler heads will prevail. That being said, nothing has got me on edge more than the recent upheaval in the ME and say what you want our weather has been fucked up lately.

I agree, but most people don't have the stones to man up and confess when they have wronged someone, their egos prevent them from achieving true joy and success in life. A person who has good relationships in life is someone who knows what I am talking about, they understand how to communicate effectively and honestly and their life reflects that.

Make sure my kids and I are all together, embrace with them, and reassure them we will still be together in the after life. If phones still work, call my parents & tell them I love them & we will see each other soon on the other side.
