There's NOTHING about this now in the news.... Realize people that Egypt's Military is collaborating with Israelis to secure to border strip to prevent any militants from crossing over to lob rockets from our side into Israel. NEITHER OUR MILITARY OR GOVERNMENT WOULD FIRE A ROCKET INTO ISRAEL! Don't forget MFO is there too... due to the restrictions we have in Section C these militants can cross over or even some of the guys we're hunting in Sinai might get undetected near the border, but Israel has troops and military equipment on their side, and they would shoot anyone who's shooting at them or approaching the border. Been happening frequently the last year. And again, always Egypt and Israel have collaborated to keep the border secure. There will be no war started by Egypt - end of story. |

If Israel do what they are intending they will be obliterated. America/EU can't afford, in any sense the kind of long term support that will be needed in the area after the initial strikes. I thought Egypt was on Gaza's side and that they mobilized tanks in the Sanai area. If there is no word from Egypt about the rocket fire, they deliberately let it happen. First of all, it's spelled SINAI - secondly, yes Egypt is on the side of Gaza, but that does not mean we're going to attack Israel over this. The Military is there with the approval of Israel. The rockets were not fired from Egypt. We have had reports last week of that happening and immediately Egypt collaborated with Israel, Egypt enforced some military presence in the area to prevent militants from doing that. What's so difficult for you hysterical warmongers to understand? Morsi and PM Qandil, Military and Intelligence in Egypt are trying their best to negotiate a truce. There's no talk of military response or retaliations. There will be wars and rumors of wars.... |

I hope you're right. How much sway to the Muslim Brotherhood hold in Egypt ATM? Good question. Well lets say this, who is the MB in Egypt? They broke and splintered off in so many different factions....so lets go with their Political Party (FJP), there's no Parliament, therefore no leading political party and definitely not the MB having any political power ATM. So pretty much, all of our over 20+ political parties are saying something, Morsi is facing pressure from many directions. So far he's held steadfast to diplomatic solutions, to keep the peace, stressed yet again today the Peace Treaty with Israel will stand, they're trying to negotiate a truce and keep the border to Israel secure. Bas...MB and all other Politicians can talk all day long, but what the President and the Government and Military will do, is a whole different story at the end of the day. Here an update from our news: Arabs to demand immediate Gaza ceasefire: diplomat An Arab diplomat says that the Arab league will send high profile delegation that includes its chief Nabil al-Arabi to Gaza in the coming few days Arab foreign ministers meeting in Cairo Saturday are expected to demand that Israel immediately halt its campaign in Gaza, and to discuss sending a delegation of ministers there, an Arab diplomat told AFP. The pan-Arab body announced on Wednesday its decision to hold emergency talks in response to Israeli air strikes in Gaza, which have killed 40 Gazans and wounded more than 350. The Arab diplomats "will seek an immediate end to the Israeli aggression and stress their full support for the Gaza Strip," the diplomat said. [link to english.ahram.org.eg] Egypt's political forces call on Morsi to 'freeze' all relations with Israel Political forces in Egypt call for the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty to be immediately revised, saying Egypt is no longer a 'strategic treasure' for the 'enemy' Egypt's political forces, including the majority Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), demand the Egyptian government and president immediately move to revise the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty amid Israel's ongoing onslaught on the Gaza Strip. They also call on the Arab League to activate the joint Arab Defence Treaty and for the Egyptian government and all Arab and Islamic governments to take immediate punitive action to stop Israel's sustained attack on Palestinians in Gaza. After nearly five hours of discussions at the headquarters of the FJP, during a meeting dubbed "Emergency parties meeting to support Gaza," a lengthy joint statement was issued by all attendees. The statement began by expressing condolences for the martyrs of Gaza killed in the Israeli assault that it described as a flagrant violation of international law and charters. FJP President Mohamed Saad Al-Katatni, who headed the meeting, read the statement: “Revolutionary Egypt is no longer a strategic treasure for the enemy and is now biased to and supportive of Arab citizens everywhere, especially the Palestinians. Political parties and forces call on the Egyptian government to take concrete steps to stop the Zionist assault on the besieged Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. They welcomed President Mohamed Morsi’s decision to withdraw Egypt’s ambassador from the occupation state.” Major General Adel Al-Qalla, a military expert and president of the Egypt Socialist Party, told Ahram Online that he explained to the gathering that the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty does not restrict the Egyptian army from mobilising to defend what is beyond Egypt’s border. Al-Qalla said that during Operation Cast Lead in 2008, “the Israeli army bombed targets inside Egypt amidst unjustified silence; today, we need to do the opposite.” The meeting was attended by a wide range of political groups, including the FJP (under chairman El-Katatni); the Salafist El-Nour Party, Asala Party, and the Fadila Party, the liberal Free Egyptians Party, the Ghad El-Thawra Party, and the 6 April Youth Movement, along with several Nasserist parties under the Popular Current umbrella and independent MPs. [link to english.ahram.org.eg] I just put some highlights, you might want to read all of it, that should also answer your question a bit better. As you see, they are "calling on the Government and Pres. Morsi"....also the statement of the Military guy on Peace Treaty and Military in Sinai is quite interesting. |
