With no fluid intake. Mass volumes each time. Becoming a big issue. Got quest Nope. not on any meds at all. ONly kind of meds i have ever been on, were the pill for hormonal imbalance (PCOS to lower the androgens) and my periods were totally irregular (the PCOS) and it got it on track.. was on that from 1996 til 2004. was on Glucophage/Metformin for the Insulin and PCOS. to lower the insulin.. to help ease the strain on the pancreas, by giving it an extra hand in giving it more insulin. and also, it helps with the pcos. i was on that for 3 yrs til 2001. it causes stomach and bowel upset and mine never went away. the diarrhea was out of control and ended up having horrible hemmorhoids from it and they took me off it. my insulin wasnt that bad at that time to not go off it. they had me on it to see if itd even help.... at least with the pcos symptoms and maybe by lowering insulin if itd make anymore difference. and keep it from getting worse. i had the pee thing even then, too. so. just wasnt AS extreme as it is Now. past 2 yrs now its been insane. I probably have had that bloodtest. They tested me for all that stuff. I had the extended glucose tolerance tests and everything else many times since i was 9 years old. though, they hadnt found the insulin issue til they found i had PCOS. i dont know if its that they never actually checked that or it showed as normal then. i dont know. |

A cyst on the spinal cord can cause the same symptoms...... Also, there are meds that can help with this, if you've not yet found a natural rememdy. My doc tried me on some conventional meds which didn't work at all. Then he put me on a very new med called Mybetriq. It comes with a savings card that allows you to get the first year for only about $15-$35 per month. Hope this helps..... |

BUT... they checked all that back in 2007 and I specifically had them check all that cos the peeing thing had me so worried back then. and it had been going on for so long but that was the start of it getting worse. ALSO, thats also around the same time my periods changed and started lasting only 2 days.... hmm. yeah, when i went off the pill, my periods came normally every month on their own. |

With no fluid intake. Mass volumes each time. Becoming a big issue. Got quest Ok, so... for the past 13 (?) years or so, I have had this issue with frequent urination. Not until about 2 yrs ago did it become the massive issue that it is now. First it started out as just peeing very soon after drinking fluid.. then whenever I would lay down, or scrunch on the couch leaning to my left. I have PCOS (diagnosed in 1996, but obviously had had it for years before that or born that way)) and also HypER-Insulinemia/Too much insulin: Low blood sugar. from the PCOS or.. what they think, the Insulin caused the PCOS. Which is usually the case. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21642330 Anyways, so, it started happenign everytime I laid or sat/leaning on my left side, and peeing out loads. Despite not having had anything to drink for hours. I dont drink alot of fluid. Im rarely thirsty. If I drink more than 2 glasses of fluid within an hour or 3.. I'll be peeing for the rest of the day and will be annoyed. lol So, a few years after that.. it started happenign with more frequency.... more so around my periods, but would settle down afterwards. 2006-2007... it became more of an issue.... I'd wake up numerous times peeing. It would take me a while to fall asleep cos id keep peeing. eventually, it would stop. 2009... 2010 it became almost constant for a week or so. every night. and daytimes sometimes as well. id just not drink any fluid at all, cos it would make it worse. Went to the doctors last about this in 2007... I dont have health insurance right now. But back then I got urinalysis, ultrasound, and blood tests, and all was normal. Sugars usually go between 74 and 100.. or around there... when fasting. Its a bit higher during my periods. For some reason. Had my sugars checked lastyear while I had to go to the ER for an allergic reaction to an energy drink and 2 hrs after eating a high carb breakfast... so... it was 142. 5 hrs later they rechecked it was back to 80. So, I say the 142 was cause of the drink and what id eaten prior to that. cos it went right down. Peeing now happens at anytime. PMS or no PMS... doesnt really matetr what I eat or drink, or dirnk nothing at all. Just pee. All the time. Every 15 mins... a pretty decent volume. When and if I do manage to fall asleep before the next pee.... I'll wake up hrs later with my bladder painfully full and have to pee and pee for 2 mins straight. I try not to even sip a damn thing hrs before bedtime. Still happens. Sometimes, it will be a calm night for my bladder. where id just pee once... opr twice.. or nione at all. though, id still have to, but itd just be once and not some urgent waking up to do so. lastnight was ridiculous. anyways, i wondered if it could be some sort of salt water retention type disorder??? i feel bloated alot. but... i used to have a pretty bad issue with that when i was a teenager, but even then the peeing wasnt like this. this is ridiculous. i posted this in another thread.. but... i noticed.... if i eat a small amount of ice cream, even half a serving... within 10 mins i'll be rushing to pee and this intense crazy urge. this during the daytime. and will go on for at least 2 hrs following and its this nasty feeling i get all over till its all gone. sometimes if ive eaten alot of salty stuff... i will pee often. i thought maybe it was salt related. and retention related. then its been times i;ll have had loads of salt allday abnd have a pee-less night. LOL so I HAVE NO idea anymore. Sorry, typing on a crappy keyboard here. So, is there anything like that in regards to some strange salt disorders? or anyone else here have this??? Has your doctor looked into diabetes insipidus? There are several different possible causes. [link to www.medicinenet.com] |

Got quest diabetes, benign prostate hypertrophery, urinary tract infection, possible hormonal imbalance of antidiuretic hormone, space occupying lesion of the pelvis, possibly a kidney pathology like cystitis or something else Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22017972 im a female. lol. no prostate. LOL thank god. LOL no urinary tract infection. would a pelvis issue still explain the urine volume, though? or just a sensation to have to pee constantly? i also have that.... i thought it could be my pcos ovary cysts or fibroids. they checked me for fibroids in '07... since i have pcos... its VERY common. they didnt see anything. but they of course said was a lower quality scan and wasnt a trans-vag one. fibroids arent serious.. theyre just annoying. thats my only thing... if hardly any fluid intake.. why so much outtake? and im rarely thirsty. with diabetes... id be thirsty alot, and therefore, thats the body's way of getting the body to flush out the excess sugars. salt... though... creates its own fluid. the possible hormonal imbalance of antidiuretic hormone sounds like it might be what it is. they also said my cortisols were elevated everytime, and some other stuff but was on high end of normal. i dont even have high blood pressure. though, feel as if i do at times. i used to have high blood pressure as a teen before the pill. no idea why. hormonal, i guess. i ate very well back then. was really precise. |

I have symptoms similar to yours and I have MS. Everyone with MS is different because lesions are in different places, so you really can't base your symptoms on what someone else with MS has. If you haven't looked up what the variety of symptoms can be online, it might be worth it to do so. That's probably NOT it, I just thought I would throw that out, FWIW....cuz when I urinate frequently, it's a lot each time. I can go three times within the span of 5 minutes, each time feeling like I really need to go...and I DO...a good amount of it. Of course, could be something else going on with me too, but frequent Urination is a symptom of MS. The way I understand it, your bladder doesn't empty completely because the signals get screwed up. |
