Attach a hose to the bottom, unscrew the hot line and be sure to shut off the cold comming in. That will take about 12 hrs to drain without an air compressor to blow it out. The bark has nutrients and minerals in it that can keep you alive. Chew on the bark. The roots of a pine tree make great blunt weapons. A long root handle and the ball of the root. Also the pine cones have a sweet syrup in them that can be boild out and drank in the water you boiled it out with providing nutrients. Look for a pine tree if it gets that bad. |

You can also retrieve water from the atmosphere, earth, and vegetation through transpiration. A sponge, pot, pan, lid, fuel source (sterno or olive oil) and some tubing will help you more than storing 1000's of gallons. Remember, water will become the property of the authorities under martial law. The more you have in one place, the harder it will be for you to keep it. |
