They vandalize, drop trash everywhere, use drugs (herion and crank mainly), and more or less cause problems all around. I would be willing to say that 7 out of 10 homeless people have a record of some sort. Its nothing personal, its just that I see them around where I live, Downtown Olympia WA, and it becomes annoying pretty damn fast. You've been brainwashed. I don't think you've seen homeless shoot up. Your stereotyping, buying into TPTB propaganda. |

Quoting: eve incognito 27803051 i am at the margines of society as it is, it be a breath of fresh air for me to admit that i don't fit in, and quit hoping some miracle will happen and i will find somewhere i belong. trouble with this is that i need to move to a place with milder climate, coz i wldn't survive one cold winter out in the streets, and i also need to wait till i'm a bit older... i have way exceeded my limit of being raped, i could not putt up with minding my own business in my sleeping bag and some dirtbag government clerk cruising for young homeless girls to play with, which i know would be the main hobby of middle classed psychopaths in any town i happen to pick for my homless home. i know, you people will say i'm arrogant,lol, among other things, my mother often points out the same, if i comment like this. hey, don't hate me coz everyone wants to stick it inside me, hate me coz it doesn't impress me in the least bit. However, if you've ever been to Nevada City..( I live about 1 hour away).. You would soon realize that this is a very small tourist town..the main street is a throw back to the sixties with little art stores, mystics..hippies, and cafes ect. There is nothing else there! Having the homeless begging for hand outs on every corner ruins it for everyone.. Here's another alternative.. From a small town in the same [link to www.kcra.com] Follow up....... [link to www.sacbee.com] Placerville, like Nevada City, has had homeless populations grow since they are basically foothill/mountain towns. Some of the homeless come from the cities to the foothill towns so that they can camp out in the mountains above them during the summer. But when winter comes they have to come down to the towns. I like what Placerville is doing to help them. But I doubt that kind of thing will ever happen in Nevada City or the other city, Grass Valley, close by to it. Sad. And maybe it used to be that the homeless were mostly drug-addicted and/or alcoholic individuals that couldn't hold down a job but that has changed drastically in the last few years. Many now are people who had lives like many of us but then had their jobs disappear or vets as mentioned previously in this thread. It could happen to many of us in this economy. |
