Article also says that although some Senators & Representatives are incensed about this, it is very possible that nothing much will come of it due to their propensity for making "deals".

He is thinking about nominating her now to be Secretary of State. That's the pay-off.

He'll have to knock out McCain to do it.

So here is the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-Md.) telling CNN:

“Information Rice received, she received from the administration. That information is what she knew at that time. Whether or not she knew other information and whether or not she told the truth, that is not an issue here. So I think the president made a comment about that yesterday that she received information from his administration and that’s what she went forward with.”

Right - the order to lie came from the Liar-In-Chief.
