I know it's naive.

I'd like a world without long term prisons (maybe keep local jails around as drunk fighter tanks until people sober up and stop wanting to be randomly violent to other humans.

I'd like humanity's current political powers (assuming they assimilate into one thing) to be collectively concerned in raising up the poorest of nations, as that will raise all boats. Our level of progress should be judged by the state of the person currently living on the planet in the worst of all possible circumstances. When we approach how to improve humanity from that perspective, we'll probably make much more progress much more quickly, and we in "first world" countries will see benefits also, and sooner than you'd initially think given how poor some standards of living are in the world.

I'd like no one to have to miss a meal because we don't care enough to efficiently distribute food.

I'd like no one to have no place to sleep because we don't care enough to efficiently distribute and price our land because we put more faith and importance in pieces of paper than people's dignity.

I'd like the end of political fundraising and the start of taxpayer funded elections.

I'd like scientists to start studying the feasibility of (if we're really intent on continued sprawling type of settlement and development that we're used to) developing underground (bringing new meaning as to as above is what's below) so that animals and trees will no longer be increasingly displaced as we keep breeding. That way the earth can maybe heal itself a little easier and we put less stress on the environment overall and let some areas get reclaimed by nature for animal numbers to increase. Who knows, maybe we'll get rewarded with some unique outcomes in that area.

I'd like a slow departure of the social contract from such a hard core emphasis and commoditization of private property to a more shared resource how best can this be used for all, with everyone being possessed and no one being dispossessed or having no private place to live with the security that it cannot be taken away from them. There is way too much surface area or volume to the earth to be fighting over lines in the dirt.

I'd like the retraining of all armed world forces of every present country into disaster relief responders. Let everyone able to share the duty of this take it up young in life 18-25 for 2 or 3 years.

Better schooling, driven by children interest, with talent evaluators to pluck out special kids gifted in certain areas and encourage them, but not make compulsory, study in that area which they seem particularly gifted or at least where the child is very motivated to learn. Let schooling be flexible.

In long instead of in short, I wish some of the things that lead to conflicts like we're having right now in the middle east, reveal themselves to people with the power to do something about it and make the lives of the people around them better rather than cashing out for themselves.

I think you are ignoring some factors in God's plan of redemption... Answer me this, why did God wrestle with Jacob and why could God not defeat him? Was it because Jacob was lost and would never be saved, or was it something else?

Weren't Hebrews the first to occupy what is modern day Israel, after the exodus? Then it's Jewish land.

This is how I believe it is all played out.

First, Moses takes Hebrews to the land that is currently Israel. This from what I can tell is the first time anyone beside cave people inhabited the lands.

Second, Romans capture and take land from Hebrews.

Third, Muslims and Romans fight for the land through the Crusades, which eventually the land falls to the "Palestinians."

Forth, Palestinians abandon the lands and in turn, the UN gives this uninhabited land to the Jews after their WWII fiasco.
