Same thing happening on some of the barrier islands in NJ. However, many of those areas should never have been built up to begin with. Not only were houses insanely close to the water, many people there did not want sand dunes built because it would impact their view. Bad reasoning, and blind stupidity. It also makes it more dangerous for those of us on the mainlands.
