Revolution is mild and effective.

You can also bathe your dog then rinse with a mild solution of water and white vinegar. Fleas hate vinegar smell.... After you have rinsed the dog thoroughly with plain warm water, pour a mild vinegar rinse over it. Use about one cup of vinegar in two gallons of warm water and pour it all over the dog, don't rinse it off. It's a fast way to get the fleas off for the night til you can get to the store or order your products online.

It can take months to completely get rid of fleas when using natural products. I drove myself crazy for three months using diatomaceous earth on my two cats...I also spread the DE all over the carpets then vacuumed. It lowered the number of fleas but there is always that one or two left and they start the whole damn problem all over again. I finally gave up and went to the vet and got Revolution, END OF PROBLEM. I felt like a natural fool for waiting that long and putting my cats through all that misery. Plus it just makes you feel like your house is dirty.
