Yeah it totally wasn't him doing the actual shooting. He was involved, he just didn't know they were gonna patsy him over it.

Current theory is that he was over there with a team dressed up in costumes. He was doing the Joker role. The batman was the shooter (who also happened to be short and stocky), and eye witnesses said there was someone dressed as Bain with him. That's why people said the guy who went out the exit, before the shooting, was wearing a trench coat.
