I don't know if I would call them men. More like boys. We have an epidemic of 40 year old boys in this country. I just had a discussion with my 13 year old, to obviate to her the sexism inherent in our language. The example is.. she refers to 13 year old boys as "guys" but the 13 year old females are called "girls." You must acknowledge that the boys are no longer children, not so for the girls. Already she.. and everyone else in junior high feels it's insulting and embarrassing to refer to young male teenagers as "boys" but they think nothing of referring to young females as "girls" and most males will continue to refer to females as "girls" well into adulthood. I told her the equivalent of guys is "gals."
