Looking at online dating profiles is depressing...

If you see the term 'soul mate' anywhere in her profile, cross her off your list. It's proof positive that she spends too much time in front of the Hallmark Movie Channel reading Harlequin Romances. She has lost her grip on reality.

I speak from experience.

Just before I met my current wife, (That is a really interesting and humorous story in itself.) I made a review of my Match dot com in box. I had an even dozen messages.

Six were from women who, for one reason or another, refused to post photos in their profiles, or even send me a photo until we 'became friends'. (I had seven photos posted in my profile.)

Three were from women who had their high school senior yearbook photos posted and no others. (I was 45 at the time and the women who responded to my profile were 40-50.)

One woman had a photo of Andie McDowell posted on her profile. When I asked about it, she said, "I know. All my friends tell me that I look just like her." When I told her that I'd prefer to see her photo, she told me she didn't know how to post one. I was about to ask her how she got the Andie McDowell photo on her profile, but decided to drop it.

One woman had a 'mug shot' posted. I swear. Orange jumpsuit and all.The most frightening response was from this woman who claimed to be 45 but the posted photo was of a woman obviously in her mid-sixties. She told me that Jesus told her to inform me I should sell my home, move in with her and use the money from the sale to pay off her mobile home.

You'll only succeed on a dating site if you are a handsome muscle bound hunk, with your own successful business, large house and flash car.

I tried an experiment out on a dating site once -- I created a profile of a guy who fitted the above description, and 10/10 women were going fucking crazy to contact me -- lapdancers, models, etc, etc. All were cybering me and throwing their numbers at me (the cyber sexing was quite fun hehehe).

Then I created a profile of a fat bearded guy with glasses. I said I live at home with mum, jobless and love Star Trek. Fuck me, every single one -- even the uglies told "me" to get lost hahaha

Told ya she was a psycho! She felt entitled to the point of expecting you to reply immediately! And you should be greatful for the chance to do so! ugghhh, I hate American fat princesses.

Due, it's EVERYWHERE in this cuntry (not a typo).

Granted, some areas are a little better than others, but overall, almost all of these idiots think of themselves as "princesses", when NOTHING could be further from the truth.

Same in my part of the country (mid US medium size urban area).

In reading their profiles of the later middle age ones (my age bracket) "most" still appear to be women with a HUGE "Entitlement" mindset who's greatest goal STILL in life is to be a Pedestal Dwelling "Princess", who the man will not only worship but will bow down to and take orders from.

My conclusion is that for at least the older women on those dating sites the reason that most are there is because they were so unreasonable in their expectations that no normal man could measure up, ie: their divorce (or usually MULTIPLE divorces)

Not all women are like that, but most of those who are not are married and have had a long term marriage (ie: THEY are NOT on a dating site).

IMO only the "widows" are usually worth considering for dating (if looking for a long term relationship versus a roll in the hay), but then you are fighting against the memory of their deceased husband ... and as time goes on his faults are forgotten and only the good things remembered so it becomes hard to overcome the fact that over time he becomes a faultless person, whereas YOU are not.

Depressingly the latest studies show that 70% of ALL married women have had an affair on their husband :-(( ... and that is for those who are STILL married (divorced women probably had even a higher rate of infidelity). In other words virtually ALL married women of average or above average looks HAS broken her marriage vows and HAS had an affair.
