Exempt Family Farms from Estate Taxes.
We petition the obama administration to:
Exempt Family Farms from Estate Taxes.

Estate taxes are a crushing burden on Family Farms by demanding that a huge tax be paid on land after the death of the owner. Although the land is valuable, most farmers have little cash and are forced to take out huge mortgages in order to pay these taxes. These mortgages take decades to repay, resulting in the farmer having to practically buy his own land back from the government. We ask that farm land and multi-use areas directly attached to these lands be made tax exempt from any and all estate taxes in order to remedy this unjust situation.

Estate taxes don't kick in unless the estate is over $5 million. That's not a "family farm". That's a multi-million dollar agri-business.

America is supposed to be a meritocracy, not an aristocracy.

Generational wealth transfer creates people like Paris Hilton. Not what this country needs IMHO.
Not intended to be a factual statement.

I clear, after expenses, about $65,000 a year. That is because I own my land. I have 500 acres that, because of location, is valued at $2.8 million. after the 1st of January the old rate kicks in of anything over $1 million being taxed at 55%. That is almost $1 million. It took me thirty years to py this place off, now my heirs have to pay another thirty years to keep it?

Re: Exempt Family Farms from Estate Taxes.
Mostof the "great" creators of comunist countrys started with this thinking. Land and businesses could not be passed on to their children. The good government now held the means of food and production. You are now a slave to the government to eat or have a job. Production goes down because the people have no insentive to due any more that what is minimemly acceptable. First as our government put into place a system that has blocked indivudals from getting themselfs out of the grip of government servitude by placing negative hurtles for people who do want togrow their wage and become the high income earners, aka the American Dream. This grows the voter base.they are told they will have nothing if the government programs are not there for them. Alltoo soon, these people become a large enought group where they can vote people into power who say lets take some of the money from those who are better off,not depentant on the government, and give it to the less wealthy. Sounds so warm and fuzzy, right? Well in very short order, say one or two generations of smallbusinesses going into the governments ownership, we all will be dependent for the handouts to survive, paing rent to the government for the homes they own and we pay to stay in. I just don't understand who the general public can not see this as very bad, even evil.

Hey, Dipshit, you do know that you cannot parcel out "An acre here an an acre there" because the whole property would have to be resurveyed, subdivided and a whole set of new abstracts drawn up. This ain't your backyard, it is almost 4/5ths of a square mile, and I ain't got $50,000 to get it done.

It needs to be a non-revocable trust.
Medicaid, if needed can dissolve a revocable trust under the recovery act laws.

With all seriousness, The New world order wants to strip people of land ownership completely.
The Government first began buying up land for national parks, natural areas, and later all the watersheds.

Many times is anyone buys land now the Government will claim they are over an underground water source or some rare bug lives on the land so the people can't develope it or in some cases even build a home they bought the land for.

I remember reading the plans for the new agenda.
They consider us all nothing more than a HERD.
It is easier to tax, control and monitor the health of a human herd when kept in large cities.
they just lately pulled some kind of crap not too long ago to "Help farmers in ill heath have better health care no matter how far out of town they live." which sounded great until you read the really really fine print, which is usual for the Government. They will help you with your healthcare for the eventual price of the farm, probably something along the lines of a different kind of medical cost recovery act.

One day the Government will own all the land and we will all be forced to live in zones since most of us are considered unhealthy and destructive for the land.

Big brother and the banks will be doing ALL the farming.

Hell, as it is now, Banks try their best to ruin farmers now too.
Even Monsanto is helping them.

Can you say, Mooo Mooooo, or, Baaaa Baaaa?
Your nothing but a herd member, get used to it.

so rather than petitioning the president, OP, you should actually pressure your rep and senators to engage in whatever budgetary compromise could retain the current 5 mill cutoff. but, like most repubs, you support the logjam, and will use the excuse of "i petitioned and he did nothing, so obama robbed me" as opposed to the MUCH more realistic "i helped elect a gang of turd rolling single issue tools that fucked me to punish the country for not voting the way they wanted them to".
