The problem with water is storing enough of it and it is heavy and hard to move around. Solution is to be able to make your own potable water. I got a Katadyn water filter that I keep in my BOB. Expensive, but each filter can produce over 10,000L of drinkable water. Impure water is the biggest disease vector and cause of death on the planet. The other stuff is important, but start with making sure you can get potable water from any source---fountain, pond, lake, stream, rain gutter. You can't last more than a few days without it. |
