I have to take a drug test to get a job! So why dont the bums sucking off my taxes have to take a drug test to get thier welfare?

I despise people like you. I have no drug testing in my job and I have to smoke daily to help from shaking because I have Parkinson's. Read up on medical MJ.

It would not cost $40 per person if the state had a nurse to a lab tech set up for each county....Most people who do drugs and know that they will not pass it may not even take the test. Also, once someone fails, they should not be able to apply again for another 5 years. This would stop all those who have children just to get more.

Supposing an applicant takes the drug test and turns up positive. I am fairly certain that person would first be offered help in the way of detox/rehab before being turned away.

If that person successfully completes required program they would granted benefits under the stipulation that they adhere to some sort of therapy or program.

If they cannot do this they will get nothing. That's pretty much the way it goes now. You can do into D.S.S., tell them you are a drug addict and they will pay for your rehab.

I've known a couple of people that use rehabs like they have revolving doors. I guarantee you if you walked into the Department of Social Services right now you'll see a few people nodding.

If you can't figure out who is using illegal drugs during an interview...I am not sure what to say...you probably aren't very perceptive.

I am extremely sorry about your disease and feel for you. What we have to remember though is that marijuana isn't the ONLY drug that comes from a plant in the ground: "Cocaine is extracted from the leaves of the Erythroxylum (coca) bush, which grows on the slopes of the Andes Mountains in South America." The effects of cocaine are far different from those of marijuana. People have abused the system for long in so many regards that people like yourself that need it unfortunately have to suffer. :(

Um...if you're taking a drug test as to BEGIN a job, then, that means that you've been unemployed as well. Weren't OUR tax dollars supporting YOU while you were OUT OF WORK yourself???

Secondly, the only reason you'd be pissed is if you've been on drugs and you know it will affect you and your intake. And, you were taking these drugs WHILE UNEMPLOYED...RIGHT? How were you PAYING for those drugs???

It is your employers choice, and you have many different employers to choose from.

Those on welfare are being given government assistance. They do not have a choice as to which government. They are also not employed by the government, so there is no liability.

A fix to this would be to make the government liable for felony acts committed by those they assist as public monies would be used either directly or indirectly in the commission of a felony.

That is not likely as it would be too expensive.

You know what ,i am stuck here in this godforsaken country called the UK ,my benefit bum neighbour has 3 kids by 3 different men,her mother owns the house ,her rent is paid for to her mother by the benefits agency, her bills are paid ,she runs a nice car , has a holiday twice a year ,clothes shopping every week ,her new squeeze sells drugs ,they party often .

Now me i work ,can't afford a holiday last one about 15 yrs ago ,cant afford council tax, cant afford to run my car every day so i walk to work every other day 4 miles there 4 miles back, cant afford new clothes ,trying to buy my house so my kids have something when i die , at this moment im sat here waiting for my electric to run out as i have a key meter it is due any second and by 9pm uk time i will be sat here in the dark with no money until next thursday ,u think the usa got it bad the bums over here pay no bills never run outa electric ,and can afford to live .
