The V.A. can not give me it but tries to shove scripts down my throat that will KILL my liver and one of them even lists "SUDDEN DEATH SYNDROME" on it. You REALLY need to get a grip and use your critical thinking skills and see beyond your cloud friend. NOT everyone whom uses meds is STONED for one and none of us would ever do it during something like work. You really believe that we should just SUFFER eh? |

She was in debt for a few hundred so I told her I would help her out this once and drove over to where she was living now. So, I get to that apartment and find she's living with three other folks, addicts all...None of them have any jobs, but they have enough money the three of them to buy food, an apartment, and enough meth to smoke all day. They were sucking off the government tit, scamming food stamps ("hey mr. drug dealer, I buy you forty dollars worth of groceries with this here EBT card and you give me 20 worth of dope in exchange") and getting their taxpayer funded checks every month. The government was paying for their dope, their food, and their apartment and they didn't have to do shit but sit around and get their smoke on. So I certainly do believe that you should have to take a drug test before they get their welfare. But I also don't think companies should be able to drug test employees...You're buying someone's work, you're not buying the person. You don't own them and have no say in what they do in their off hours. If the employee is stumbling all over himself at work drooling high as shit, yeah, fire his ass. But if you can't tell he's using drugs and have to use a drug test to find out, you have no cause because it doesn't effect your business. |

I am of the opinion that it is an invasion of privacy for mandatory testing. It is the same as having your house searched, it should be of no business to anyone as to what is possibly in your body. Now on the other hand, if there is some type of accident at work and the use of drugs or alcohol is suspected, then I believe that person should be tested.
