I have only read the first page of this thread....so, if someone else has posted this, please forgive and ignore.

When I read through the legislation about drug testing welfare recipients, it said that ANY found to have illicit drugs in their system would have their children taken from them and placed in foster care......

Who pays for that? Besides the children, I mean...How is this saving anyone any money?

Also, there's something in there about enforced rehab....who pays for that?

The Poorasites are privileged. That is why.

Poorasites are job security to their government enablers. Drug testing would disqualify over half of the Poorasites from their handouts. Drug use is a huge reason for poverty, as people spend their disposable income on drugs, then have none left over for essentials.

Enter their government. The enablers tax the producers to pay for the Poorasites existence. This gives the enablers job security.

"Poorasites", excellent.

Speaking of tests...

Why are we even considering sending these folks out in the community to spread infections without testing them?

Idaho corrections officials in a bid to save money are asking lawmakers to relax mandatory disease testing for inmates slated for release.

The law now requires that inmates be tested for diseases like HIV and Chlamydia when they enter and exit the state's prison system. The Idaho Department of Correction officials made their case for legislation Wednesday to make the tests optional for offenders exiting the system.

Do you know what happens when you stop testing prisoners?

Prisons in Post-Soviet Russia Incubate a Plague

The collapse of the Soviet health care system in the 1990s coupled with prisons releasing improperly treated inmates and endemic poverty escalated incidences of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis to epidemic proportions

We don't test kids for heart disease before they participate in sports, resulting in multiple deaths yearly

The American College of Sports Medicine and the American Heart Association (AHA) recommend a complete cardiovascular history plus a physical examination. However, the AHA maintains that a 12-lead ECG should not be required in routine preparticipation screening. The AHA contends that precautionary ECGs tend to have a high false-positive rate and would therefore lead to additional diagnostic testing that can unnecessarily increase the average cost of screenings

It would cost too much, rather let kids die. Why does drug testing get so much funding, while other, more important testing, is passed over?
