Actually the whole body and blood of Christ thing comes from a much older Ritual centered around the resurection of Osiris.

After all by His sacrifice he put His seed in every soul. And our duty as humans is to purify the soil (our flesh), so that the seed could develop.

I laregley agree with you...the only part I worry about is that I am not smart enough and good enough to purify that soil...I leave it up to the Holy Spirit :-)

....well, JC seemed rather specific as to what the bread and wine became after the blessing as well as saying his followers MUST do this...JC didn't say you had to DO a lot, love God and neighbor AND Eat his Flesh and drink his blood...if JC was Satanic then leave ANY Christian church..but don't change what he said..unless you don't believe the truth of the bible,in which case you don't believe anyway...

You have not get right OP´s message yet: the Israelites were prohibited to eat human flesh, by God. So you are.

Further, the Messiah was a priest in the order of Melchizedek: bread and wine. Not from the Levitical one: flesh and blood.

He has meant the bread is His new body. Not the bread becoming flesh. Which by His own words "counts for nothing".

Its not the flesh its not the blood its the spirit therein that gives life to the flesh and the blood and is con tained in them

By having Holy Communion we
1. Show our Faith that it is the Flesh , Blood and Spirit of Christ
2. We become One with Him
3.We remember the Last supper and His suffering
4.Our Spirit is renewed by His spirit contained in His body

It is the Spirutr that gave life and Resurrected the body

the body was destroyed and the Spirit Resurrected it

the Spirit was in the body

the Spirit is in the Holy Eucharist that becomes His body

and we become One

Through the Spirit that gave the destroyed body eternal Life we too receive it and partake of that gift through the Holy Communion

Is the flesh from the last supper...is the flesh from the time on the cross...is it from the grave...is the flesh from the present??? What time frame is the flesh you have at communion from?
