Through the Spirit that gave the destroyed body eternal Life we too receive it and partake of that gift through the Holy Communion

Re: The Roman Catholic Church's doctrine of transubstantiation is satanic.
...According to the Bible:
"Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." Matthew 26:26-28

And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."

And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. 1 Corinthians 11:24-26

Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:53-54

....well, JC seemed rather specific as to what the bread and wine became after the blessing as well as saying his followers MUST do this...JC didn't say you had to DO a lot, love God and neighbor AND Eat his Flesh and drink his blood...if JC was Satanic then leave ANY Christian church..but don't change what he said..unless you don't believe the truth of the bible,in which case you don't believe anyway...

Wow, that is great...you seem to know enough about Jesus's words...can you do me one favor...can you tell what time frame that flesh you have at communion comes from? Is the flesh from the last supper...is the flesh from the time on the cross...is it from the grave...is the flesh from the present??? What time frame is the flesh you have at communion from?

6Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

7You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ 8The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.

Yes, but that is your opinion. You obviously have no answer then for why the other christian churches uses bread/wine?

My personal belief about the RCC is that the bread/wine is a representative of the death of Jesus (blood/flesh. The symbols of bread/wine to be used as a reminder of who he was and what he did for humanity. Many religions use symbols to remind them of higher ideals.

"this is my body, this is my flood, do this in rememberance of me. Symbolic statement to remind people.

This is the truth of the Last supper [link to www.freewebs.com]

THE LAST SUPPER
On the first day of the unleavened bread, Jmmanuel spoke to his disciples, "Go into the city to a certain person and speak to him and say: 'Jmmanuel says to you; I wish to have a last supper with my disciples at your dwelling, please, for behold, Easter is near.'

The disciples did as Jmmanuel had asked them, and they prepared the meal.
When they sat down and ate, he said, "Behold, the time is near that I shall have to take my heavy burden upon my shoulders. I do, however, go where I am supposed to go according to the prophets; however, I shall only appear to be in death and will suffer much pain of the physical body. You are not to be afraid and do not be in trepidation for this is that which I must do. There are none who can bear this adversity in my stead, nor will any be able to share of it.

"Verily I say to you, until this is past I shall no longer drink of the fruit of the vineyard or eat of the bread until the time comes that I shall drink it and eat it anew, with you.

"When I shall have risen from the state between physical life and death, I shall have lain in the tomb for three days and three nights. "
When they ate, Jmmanuel took the bread, broke it, and gave it to the disciples, saying, "Take and eat; the body needs nourishment also in times of need and grief".

And he took the cup, gave it them, and said, "All of you drink from this cup; your throats are thirsty also on rainy and cold days. Verily I say to you, as you do not understand my words now and are annoyed with me because of them, so will you be annoyed with me this night, because your minds still have not been enlightened.

"When I rise from the tomb, I will walk in front of you to Galilee, so that you may perceive the truth of my words. I have taught you wisdom and truth, but you doubt and do not believe me. Oh, you who are so faint of heart and of such little faith; how startled you will be, how confused, when I shall meet you again after being seemingly dead."
 Quoting: God Loves ALL

I would suggest reading the above which will end the silly arguments. The above is the WHAT IS. Now download the pdf file and actually READ it, then THINK about it. The blood shit is of RCC origin.

And Jesus did NOT die on the cross, he survived it and that is fully covered in this too. you ones have got to stop with arguing the lies.

The actual Lord's Prayer Given by Jesus 2000 years ago.

"MY SPIRIT, YOU ARE OMNIPOTENT. YOUR NAME IS HOLY. MAY YOUR REALM BE INCARNATE IN ME. MAY YOUR POWER REVEAL ITSELF WITHIN ME, ON EARTH AND IN THE HEAVEN. GIVE ME TODAY MY DAILY BREAD, AND THUS, LET ME RECOGNIZE MY TRANSGRESSIONS AND ERRORS, AND I SHALL RECOGNIZE THE TRUTH. AND DO NOT LEAD ME INTO TEMPTATION AND CONFUSION, BUT DELIVER ME FROM ERROR. FOR YOURS IS THE REALM WITHIN ME AND THE POWER AND THE KNOWLEDGE FOREVER,
AMEN.

You might want to learn more RCC history. The transubstantiation stuff was not "settled" until the Council of Trent...in the 1500s A.D. There was talk of it earlier...but, no it wasn't an "early church doctrine."

Besides, whether it was early church doctrine or not would not answer my question...what time frame does the flesh come from?

His was predicting His own death

thats why it was the LAST Supper, he was giving the LAST He had to give ..His body up for Sacrifice..

then all would be complete and all was surrendered and laid down for others..

Thats was the symbolism of the meal

but the spiritual significance was that in this broken body was the spirit that would give life

Just as He borke the vread so His flesh would be torn

Just as He poured the wine

so His blood would be poured

so all would be complete and given

and from this

because of the Spirit with
Eternmal life would come

Just as the spirit made whole the broken body and the spilled blood

so would the spirit make us whole through the Bread and Wine that become Him

thats why it was the LAST Supper, he was giving the LAST He had to give ..His body up for Sacrifice..

then all would be complete and all was surrendered and laid down for others..

Thats was the symbolism of the meal

but the spiritual significance was that in this broken body was the spirit that would give life

Just as He borke the vread so His flesh would be torn

Just as He poured the wine

so His blood would be poured

so all would be complete and given

and from this

because of the Spirit with
Eternmal life would come

Just as the spirit made whole the broken body and the spilled blood

so would the spirit make us whole through the Bread and Wine that become Him

But, the flesh at the RCC communion CAN'T come from the last supper. That would be denying that Jesus was crucified, died, was buried and ascended into heaven...The RCC says the bread is transformed into the literal body of Jesus...what time frame does it come from?

When the time comes the wafers they swallowed will be transformed into rotten flesh and all those who swallowed it will vomit it fore.

When the time comes the wine they swallowed will transform into tainted blood and they will vomit it from their mouths.

When the time comes they will see the truth about the lie.

Its the Spirit that makes the body eternal

The Holy Eucharist is His spisit contained in His flesh..

His Flesh without His Spirit would not be Him

His Spirirt without His Flesh would not be the lamb as He was in flesh here for the sacrifice

the two made one are perfcet

and it is this that we take

to become One with Him

through the Spirit

Do you now not understand the term "sacrifice?" Didn't Jesus say that this would be His body given up for them at table? Oh, but wait, Jesus was fully crucified....

There is NO time frame.
Where this occurs time doesnt exist. It manifests here at the time of Communion but the transformation is above time. It is a continuos moment that never ends

Your lack of knowledge of the Bible saddens God!

Hebrews 10...
11 Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. 14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

Do you understand? The sacrifice is done. There is no "continuous moment that never ends." Jesus now sits at the right hand of the Father...the flesh at communion CAN'T come from "now." ...

which leads to the question again...

What time frame does the flesh of the Roman Catholic communion come from?

Also, I believe that the cup at the Last Supper did NOT have wine in it, but rather - water. Water = life.......wine, especially fermented wine (bitter waters?) = blood = death. hf

Will some of you please READ what I posted above. FRUIT OF THE VINEYARD which could be wine or juice, but certainly not water. People we are worknig to give you the truth, will you please partake of it.

Who the shit cares anyway about what was drunk? It matters HOW right now in this turmoil stricken world? What is this important to you? Look at the war, the suffering, the pollution, and all the rest and pick up the cross and walk in his shoes. This are STUPID DISCUSSIONS, except for the part of how it originated within the Catholic church, for the Last supper was a final meeting with friends to prepare for what lay ahead and there no communion as the church created it, done. IT DID NOT HAPPEN>

Re: The Roman Catholic Church's doctrine of transubstantiation is satanic.

Re: The Roman Catholic Church's doctrine of transubstantiation is satanic.
Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. John 6:53 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13284416

Amazing how those who believe in transubstantiation fail to read the rest of that chapter...

...the rest from John chapter 6...

60 On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?” 61 Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you? 62 Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! 63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are Spirit and life.

Jesus did not tell the disiciples to eat human flesh. He was telling them to believe His words. He is the Word. The Spirit gives birth to spirit.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24011342

Exactly. Spot on.

BTW, Catholics do not eat human flesh either.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13284416

Au contraire...they believe they are eating the literal flesh and blood of Jesus at communion. If you are Roman Catholic and believe otherwise, the Roman Catholic church considers you "anathema."
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24011342

You are wrong. Go read what the early church fathers wrote about the Eucharist circa 100 AD to 300 AD. They called those espousing what you say "heretics."

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24011342

Our time is different than God's time... The battle has already happened, yet in our earthly timeframe it hasn't yet... Why dont you respond to why the original disciples practiced transubstantiation?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13864401

The apostles did not believe in transubstantiation. It was added by the RCC much later. There is a link in this thread from wikipedia (yes, wikipedia...I am sure it could be backed up with some other source). The info at wikipedia says that transubstantiation as a word was not mentioned until around 1133 A.D.

Whoa...Jesus said, "Do this in remembrance of me..." seems to me that the apostles would have had an idea about times and dates then. You still can't name a time? Well, it was either from Jesus's time on earth or it wasn't. It can't be from Jesus as spiritual flesh...the mortal cannot inherit the immortal...want another chance?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24011342

Not true.. There catholic doctrine going back all the way to Peter that talks about this practice.. so you are wrong and so is Wikipedia (which is wrong mostly anyways)
