Is it a sin if you kill in self defense ?
Let's say someone is attacking me with a sledge hammer or ace ,and I get my pocket knife out and stab them . The aggressor ladies in a near-by hospital . Is that a sin? Should you just die and not fight back?

Or if someone punched you and was beating me. I had enough and punched him on the side of the head and killed him with one hit.

Your right to life is the most fundamental right of all.

I can't even think of a single world religion that counsels against self preservation. In fact I think self preservation is mandated.
