Really OP? In a week and a half time...they all went belly up? They were going down regardless of who got into office.

Re: Since Obama’s re-election: over 100,000 layoffs at more than 125 businesses (so far)
my employees were told over a month ago that if O was reelected, there would be a 20% layoff and a 20% reduction in the salaries of the remaining workers.

They were told in advance so they could find another job to support their family. Although they have been trying, not a single person has left the company - BECAUSE THEY CAN'T FIND A JOB.

A week from Monday, i will be laying off the 20% - it is actually going to be about 23%. No reason to wait until January - might as well get it done now.

Business owners will not feel the pain, they can adjust. Employees are the one's that Obama will hurt - they just don't know it yet.

Although I didn't go this route, many of my business owner friends are only laying off Democrats. They are not yet a protected class..

Too bad - I'm firing some really good people.

Sad day in America.

You're either a liar, or a piece of crap.

It's not Obama's fault you are laying off employees, it's your fault. A lot of people like you are taking convenient use of this time to lay people off and increase your profits. Then you can blame OBAMER for being a piece of human waste.

Lean Forward We
Background of my avatar: [link to en.wikipedia.org]

The religion of submission cannot survive an open and honest discussion of its convoluted and foolish scriptures, its sexually perverted terrorist prophet, or its deceitful and demented god. When Western leaders become unified and resolute in their hostility to Islam's violent and ungodly beginnings, Muslims will flee the religion because they will be horrified by its endorsement of terrorism, mass murder, slave trading, plunder, kidnapping, and rape.

If Muslims & their apologists really want to cure "Islamophobia," here is an easy way. Focus their indignation on Muslims committing violent acts in the name of Islam, not on non-Muslims reporting on those acts.

Ecclesiastes 10:2 “The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.”

We are all born ignorant, but it takes a lot of work to keep looking the other way to remain stupid.

Islam is not a race - the racism rant is lame, used by the intellectually lazy to derail the debate.

Why arethere fewer people...

No where did I say the president created jobs, because that assertion is rather stupid. The president doesn't create jobs. I simply said that most signs point to a slow but steady recovery. I posted articles from reputable sources supporting my claims. But again, most of you are too caught up on the partisan quackery peddled by Fox to believe it.

Because no matter what the president, it's a losing struggle.

Companies don't hire people even if they are making a tremendous profit, they just continue to make a tremendous profit with what they have now. You can't "create" jobs by giving huge tax breaks to those companies.

No, he doesn't. But he sure as hell can affect the mood and thinking of people who manage or start up businesses. Obummer has made many of those folks nervous about the future, and rightly so.

He's not much better than the Socialist turd that the French voted into their presidency a few months ago. Hardly unexpected that their economy started to sputter even more since then, and now stinks worse than before.

Re: Since Obama’s re-election: over 100,000 layoffs at more than 125 businesses (so far)
It's a lot worse than that, consider the number of companies where the lay offs are not even being reported. Probably double to triple your figures. Then add in the companies that are reducing labor hours by 25% at least, and the companies that have marginalized full time positions into part time. All this in just the past two weeks, very scary. And it will be ten times worse in January, and then add in the slashing of companies that planned on creating new jobs and expanding new building/locations,and now plan on wiping out all those development plans because of the anti-Christ supposed re-election and obamcare. And, what happens when the post office goes under next year? Everyone,be prepared for Armageddon, hell on earth.

Unless if 12/21/12 happens and no more planet earth, then you wont have to worry about it. You all better start praying for December 21st. You don't want to live the nightmare that would be starting 2013.

Friends of mine own a local franchise. Four stores. They are bursting at the seams of their flagship store in our largest city. They would like 3 stores there, and add another in the next town over.

Not going to happen anytime soon.

A nice handy list of companies to boycott I suppose. Those companies who refuse to pay their workers a livable wage and those who act out of spite are those who should not exist.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6850261

I bet you're one of those libtards who, like in Obummer's administration, never bitch about the bite of income taxes, yet are caught cheating on their IRS returns. Several people in Obummer's White House are known for being delinquent in paying to Uncle Sam.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27954171

Nope I'm all caught u on my taxes. Thanks for the assumption though. My rates won't be going up any time soon. And if I ever find myself making 250k a year, I'll gladly pay a bit more.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6850261

i have no problem with you paying more with your money, and by the way, nothing is stopping you from donating all of your salary to the government, do it.

i do have a problem with your government confiscating my money. i have a problem when i see how my money is wasted by a wasteful government and instead of putting the brakes on, moron like you say full speed ahead and re-elect a jerk.

when i see a welfare queen spending my money as given to her by this idiot government, i don't hate her, i hate you for allowing her to exist as my dependent.

Because no matter what the president, it's a losing struggle.

Companies don't hire people even if they are making a tremendous profit, they just continue to make a tremendous profit with what they have now. You can't "create" jobs by giving huge tax breaks to those companies.

Really OP? In a week and a half time...they all went belly up? They were going down regardless of who got into office.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27971781

A few of the companies on that list do not have any major activity in the US, and the few that I follow, had this coming anyway, and have announced this quite some time back.

But still, Obamacare will cost jobs. Many companies are reducing hours to get below the obamacarelimit, and instead hires more people. More people will get jobs, but in the long run, more people will have less and it will hurt the economy.

I'd say the real cost of Obamacare is still 1-2 years ahead of us, when the dust settles.
