think circle
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1430445

The circle is infinity in one dimension, the sphere is infinity in two dimensions, because we cannot see in four dimensions we have no name for the shape in three dimensions.
Infinity is finite if viewed through all of the dimensions it occupies plus one. Infinity viewed only through the dimensions that it is bounded within cannot be seen in its entirety and it appears to go on forever. That is as simple as it gets.

A definition of infinity is something that goes on forever.

A definition of forever is something that goes on to infinity.

You could say that the limits of every dimension equal infinity to the power of 1. So a 2 dimensional universe is composed of infinity squared.
So even a four dimensional universe can be seen from the fifth dimension as a simple construct with limits.

Re: need a definition of infinity
Look around, you're defining it now.
No one has ever seen a perfect circle, nor a perfectly straight line, yet everyone knows what a circle and a straight line are.
Perceived circles or lines are not exactly circular or straight, and true circles and lines could never be detected since by definition they are sets of infinitely small points.
