Al-Jabari was a leader of the Iz al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas. (Mohammed Al-Hums, his assistant, was also in the car, and died, too.) But Al-Jabari was more than just a military man. Al-Jabari was one of Israel’s closest allies within Hamas and he had just completed brokering a truce with Israel three hours before his murder. They don't have "peace" negotiators. They have people who lie for strategic delays to recover from each ass whoopping. "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. It is clear to me the Palestinians and Israelis do not want peace. That can be the only explanation to all the missed opportunities ... Don't ask a question you don't want to know the answer to. Your labels betray you here. We can speak of Palestinians and Israelis, or Muslims and Jews, but these are large groups of people who do not necessarily have the exact same values or believe the exact same things. They can be People, while not being Of The People. Ignoring this fact hides the deeper workings of the world at large. As is usually the case, the vocal and active minorities steer the course of the passive masses. My comment about everything dying could be seen as a good thing. Life here and now is about trade-offs, pro's and con's. If Peace is your highest priority, understand that it might only be achieved by the death of difference(or all life), instead of the understanding of difference. What hell do your good intentions bring you to? There is no true despair without hope. That is why Hope was left in Pandora's Box, as a twisted joke of the Gods played out on man. People forget the whimsy of immortal beings that envy the sweetness inherent to the brevity and temporality of man. Blindness lives in the extremes of light & dark, hope & fear. Dare to reconcile hope & fear in the land of the grey. Delta/T = Change/Time = Motion requires a change in Perspective. You have the formula. Will you use it? Overstand, this isn't a sermon from the hill, but a 'Trespassers Will Be Shot' Sign. |

IF the nation of Israel has a right to be,then leave it alone...if however you do not, then you will do all you can to end it...I wonder what would happen IF Hamas declared the nation of Israel is legal and NO further actions will be taken to prevent it's peaceful existence?...how long before Israel would return the lands won in the 1967 invasion by it's neighbors?...and if the Muslim Brotherhood didn't have the Jew to blame for the Arabs problems, would that lead to a peaceful and prosperious Middle East?...or would Israel refuse and wish to continue the conflict?...Has Israel stated it's sole purpose is the destruction of it's neighbors?... |
