reasonably speaking - there couldve been a global meetup to discuss....ALL employees - to include mgmt - to take said cut and....look for other areas to meet some of that cost, such as perhaps finding a cheaper HC policy -
even - trying a 35 hour work week
hiring PT'ers in lieu of FT'ers sometimes isnt what you want to hear but the savings keeps the business in productions bc of the cost factor.
there WERE options.
the teamsters union is memory serves, was cooperative in reaching an agreement. the bakers union remained steadfast in - im saying it....extortion.
