Anyone else miss the 80's???

love or hate the 80's...

the parties were fucking epic.

That was the day the USA lost its innocence, never to be the same again.

The progressives have destroyed the USA. So sad until we revolt to force change back to civility instead of 'the nit-picky society'.

Cool music, a variety of styles instead of the 99% rap/hip-hop/schmaltzy pop there is now

Pre-politically-correct everything like we have to endure now

Generally better society where there weren't as many problems/social constraints and concerns

Pre-Internet where people actually <gasp> went outside and did things instead of staying indoors

Communication was old-school and direct instead of texting/facebook/twitter

The 80's however included Ronald Reagan, who was a major force behind the deregulation of the banking industry that led to MANY of the problems we see today

I miss hangin out at the arcade..listening to journey etc..playing dragon slayer, dig dug, missile command..etc.
I miss the clean ocean at least compared to now...
I miss good cereal and ice cream.

I miss the 80's....it was the last decade where things were still normal in the world and you could still enjoy your daily lives before the world started to get a little too hectic and crazy in the 90's, not to mention insanely overpopulated. The world's population totaled 4.8 billion in 1985. Now we're at 7.1 billion. the 80's was the golden age, and we've been in collapse mode ever since, as we continue to descend towards the tenth level of hell.

Ronald Reagan, The A-Team, Bird vs. Magic, the Cosby Show, Growing Pains, Jerry curls, MTV used to actually play music videos.....

The 80's were the last decade where the world was still an enjoyable, somewhat normal place. Starting right around 1990 everything went to shit.

exactly. There was still crime, there's always been crime, but nowadays our cities resemble third world countries and you feel like you're walking through a war zone if you walk through a major American City....it's like being a soldier in Afghanistan...you literally feel like at any second someone's going to through a grenade at you.

The higher the population count goes, the more impossible our daily lives become...and the more sick and twisted pop culture becomes, the more sick and twisted we become.

We've reached our limit.
