Soul connections don't "date." If it's real, then you are just together and that's it until one dies. Keep looking, they are out there.

Re: How to get over a soul connection, when they are already dating someone else? (Soul Connection Experience Preferred)
Stop the fantasy and get real about how lasting relationships work. There is no such thing as soul mates, rather it's just your hormones raging and some guy who knows how to play the game, who made you feel 'loved'.

Here are some hard truths. Love is a choice, a decision and a commitment. We know this because God commands husbands to love their wives and wives to respect their husbands. The two very things which are most lacking in relationships and difficult to dole out, are commandments by God.

The infatuation you feel is programmed to fade after 6 months. Usually that's sufficient amount of time to rush foolishly into various sorts of disastrous relationships. To get the actual lasting partnership you have to do hard work at communicating and it involves a lot of self sacrifice. Narcissistic self pleasing or a parasitic attachment to your 'soulmate' just won't make it past the 6 month window.

Thus you don't 'fall' in love or gush over some romantic attachment and expect this to carry you through into some grand eternity. The real world is not a romance novel or some emotionally manipulative movie. While physical attraction is an important spark to any male-female relationship, there is a lot more involved.

My recommendation is to find a good church and get a man who is actually committed to the ideals of marriage as laid out in the Bible. You'll probably have better luck finding such a man in a non-conventional church setting such as a home church, rather than some rusty passive denomination.

I wish you many blessings in your search for happiness.

...

Therapy? Probably not. Maybe some counseling would be good as it helps you see things through the eyes of others and gives you new tools for you to use on your problems.

Choosing a church is probably as difficult as choosing a counselor. If you would register as a regular member (at no cost), I could send you a PM with some thoughts. You couldn't PM me back, but this would be a start.

As I read recently "prayer" is a conversation within a relationship. So there's no concept as "hard enough." :) Seeing the world through God's eyes, however, gives us balance and puts things into perspective.

I appreciate your continuing our conversation. hf

I have a church, but the priest isn't the world's most friendly. I just feel like this is overtaking my mind. I'll be ok, but then when I see him, I feel like all the time I was trying to forget him just went away. It feels like an obsession. I just hate not knowing, but he's with someone. I pushed him away so I wouldn't get in trouble with anyone.

I don't mind posting my email. It's lonesomewallflower@yahoo.com.

Thank you for understanding. Most people either think he's bad to act this way, therefore I should move on, or I am just crazy.

I am just wanting sanity.

Keep looking? I thought looking was the wrong way to go about it. I am one to let things happen.

I guess that's I was so drawn to this soul connection, it came out of no where. It surprised me, shook me up real well.

Is this now a rap session? What I said is the simple truth, accumulated through many years of participation, observation and studying from life's greatest manual, the Bible.

I had no intention to demean, nor was I implying necessarily that you fit that particular description. I do wish to dispel the programming given to use by our media and literature. It is designed to destroy relationships and create unrealistic expectations.

Once you know what you really need and are grounded in the truth, the entire mating/courtship game becomes a simple calculus of making oneself available to the good things that God has planned for you.

Oh one more thing you should know. God will often choose people with flaws or who offer us certain challenges as partners/friends/mates. That too is part of the character building process we all face. Again there is no perfect soul mate, and such a person, if he or she existed, is probably the wrong person for you LOL.

Re: How to get over a soul connection, when they are already dating someone else? (Soul Connection Experience Preferred)
I am almost 30, never have got the guy I liked. The people who like me and the ones I like never equaled out.

I felt like there was an instant click, shook me to my core. I found the term "soul connection", and all the stories dealing with it. It is spot on how I feel. I have never felt so sad and happy at the same time. I noticed he felt the same, I could see it in his eyes.

Meeting him changed my life. He made me feel good about myself, like someone could love me. He complimented me, smiled at me, and always stared at me. I never felt so intense with someone through their eyes. It brings me such sadness, knowing nothing probably will come of it.

I found out he's been in a relationship the entire time. If he felt the same, he would of probably broke it up. I never let on that I liked him. I just would stare back. I stopped talking to him, since I feel it is wrong. Am I a moron?

People with soul connections, you know how rare they are. It's real, it's something I never saw coming. I can remember to exact detail what he was wearing when I first met him. His face always lit up when he saw me. But he's with someone. Everyone sees them together says they look awkward, and she seems to be the one in control. Not that it matters...

How do I move on? I have to see him everynow and then at work. Even though we don't talk, my co workers say he still looks over at me all the time, and stares. That breaks my heart.

Everyone thinks I'm over him, but I am not. I try my best, but every guy I met doesn't measure up.

Please, I have prayed to God, my friends are all so sick of hearing about this shit. They all say SNAP OUT OF IT...so I have kept it inside for the last 2 months, and it's eating me up. My one co worker, who is an angel, who actually had a dream me and him were together walking by water, as boyfriend and girlfriend, sees how I try my best to avoid him, but I am still drawn to him like a magnet. Do I have no self control?

Be as blunt and mean in response, I need to really snap out of it.....

Thank you for listening....I feel like a crazy person....rant

Re: How to get over a soul connection, when they are already dating someone else? (Soul Connection Experience Preferred)
I feel what you´re going through, experienced nearly the same.. twice with the same man, we tried, but did not connect on the (what i like to call it) earth-level.
still think we are soulmates, but not together as man&wife in this life. maybe in another one, before or after, doesn´t change anything.
if you feel connected to someone, the connection mustn´t be man-wife-like.
try to let go, and take it as what it is: someone you know from your past and will meet in your future again.

sorry i can´t help more with that, but it is, what it is..

No reason to be blunt or mean.
Its really quite simple; You say you prayed.
Pray again, this time not for self but for the other, their happiness, their love, their well being.

You just might find it will come back to you, perhaps not in the guise of your obvious infatuation, but somewhere you were not looking at all.

Re: How to get over a soul connection, when they are already dating someone else? (Soul Connection Experience Preferred)
Stop being silly, he knows you don't have much experience in the relationships area (and yes, it THAT obvious always), so he's trying to fool you. He probably knows you're a little interested too, if you both really have that "special soul connection" he would have left his girlfriend already. After all, they're not married in papers yet. He just like his little game, it's what makes him feel "the hunter" without getting too risky.. Unless you let him do that. It's what makes he feels his life interesting and "spicy" enough, from the routine of work. He noticed you, but he's not interested enough in having a serious relationship with you, he may be even thinking about having a "fuck friend" in you (maybe not, but still there's a big possibility). If you want to play in that way too, that's up to you, just don't let him make the rules otherwise you've already lost (considering your lack of experience/awkwardness/tendency to idealize romance, etc).

Always remember: if he reaaally likes you for something serious, he will let you know. Not sending confusing "messages" (oh, and BTW, just because he's looking, it doesn't mean anything at all, maybe you just have a pretty face, nice tits or a good ass, I don't know :P . It's good to daydream sometimes, but why should people complicate everything about their lives. He has not a real impediment (like getting a divorce, kids, etc), so maybe he's not really into you. Or, if this feeling is burning you like hell, then grow some balls and tell him how you feel and see what happens. You're not 16 anymore, and stop depending on rumors from other people "oh, yes, he's looking at you, this, and that.." Just stop it. Grow up. That's what you need, to be a "dreamer with a sense of reality".

I hope it doesn't sound like I'm angry at you lol, but it gets me on my nerves everytime people of your age act like teenagers. And lack of experience is NOT an excuse. It's all about common sense, a healthy quantity of self respect and love, and survival skills, if you will. Survival skills are not only for doom lol.

Good luck!

Ask him out to lunch. It is not a romantic date but then at least you can talk directly to him and find out in a round about way if he has any feelings for you. If you think he does then don't just gush but rather go with the flow and see where it leads.

This probably sounds bizarre, but if he is a Taurus, the staring thing is something that they all do.

An example..

Taurus eyes
by: Anonymous

I know a taurus guy, I know he has a girlfriend and I am sure they are in love with each other, but what I cannot understand is his way of staring. 2 years ago, out of blue, he started to stare at me and because I was irritated by that I keep staring back , so this process is on for 2 years and we just stare at each other whenever no one is noticing us it is like a competition that who is going to give up first. So what I want to know is that what is with all that weird, creepy staring? his eyes are so scary.

Sloots gonna sloot.

Just suck his dick already, let him use and abuse you, and then get on searching for the next "soul connection".

I am so sick of it. I wish I could end this thread...and be over with it.

If you stop treating people like a potential partner, stop looking for a partner, you may just find lots of people with a soul connection. You will have lots of like minded soul mates instead of looking specifically for a lover.
Women always do this, they are always seeking a lover instead of wonderful friendships.

Click the second one.

It sounds like he "has stuff" to work out with his current girlfriend, when the time is right you will be together. But you can't hurt anyone else to get to him.

It's really tough, they say these things make us stronger, I'm not so sure.

Have not read the replies so not sure if someone has offered up the same sort of advice, but here goes.

Picture a temple in your mind, look around and look for doors and windows, close all the doors and windows, sealing them up, bolt them closed, lock them with a golden key, or golden sliding bolts, if you use a key take the key and put around your neck on a golden chain.

Now, every time you think on, feel, hear or whatever format your connection takes, as each is personal, for example could be as simple as a tone that will come on the right when happy left when sad or a feeling or anything, it is personal, only you will know and on to another, as they will you.

Every time you sense the connection or think on the one you are connected with, go back to your temple and follow the routine of sealing all the doors and windows, close yourself to them, is that simple but can take a few weeks to complete, if you are thinking on them, you are opening to them, so EVERY SINGLE TIME you think on them, close up and put thoughts elsewhere.

Hope this helps.

Good luck and god bless
