If you're on your own - yes
It's pretty much automatic for three months with practically no questions asked I heard. Then free cell phone, next fuel assistance. Then low income housing and you're there....commie paradise.
But seriously if you need it you should get it. I think under $13,000 qualifies.
I'd just be afraid of being on some kind of government list that I might regret being on later. But that's just me being paranoid and afraid of FEMA camps. LOL!
