Why are some people so hostile here on GLP?

I choose to ignore and not be hostile or impolite in any way. Why should I treat another human being in that manner?

I believe some are demon possessed. The demonic spirit won't allow them to be at peace with anyone.

We are all different and our opinions will be different. We don't all know everything, so we need to come together and share the knowledge and wisdom. We may agree/disagree and so get over it, but don't be hostile. Instead, Agree to disagree and be at peace, or else how are we suppose to learn from one another.

I wonder if the amount of hostility directly correlates with the amount of religious fervor here...

What you perceive as hostility might actually be your own hostility and rejection of another poster's comments.

Some pretty important issues are discussed on here. Capitilism, Communism, Christianity, Islam, Anarchy, Atheism. All things people feel strongly about. Others have some major psycholgical problems with any one of these issues, others just have very strong and steadfast ideas that they believe are worth speaking up for.

There are a few on here that are just assholes, and they try to sneak in and ruin any thread they can or insult people. But overall, you are the one who sounds very naive. Perhaps you do not have anything if your life you think is worth fighting or dying for.

It's coming down to a life or death situation.

That tends to make people "hostile".
