Why are some people so hostile here on GLP?

Ive noticed that some people are hostile just because you post something they do not like. If they do not like it, why do they read it? Why all the hostility?

I think it's fairly on the money personally. I agree that posts have to conform with the ideals held by those in power. Both your and the prior poster's thoughts are in order with each other. This is a website where rampant hatred, disgusting discourse, and etc exist. It is a cess pool so what is the ideal that is being held up here? Well, the easy answer would be "freedom of speech". Problem with that one is that there are plenty of words that get you banned here that kind of toss freedom of speech right out the window. I call it the internet's insane asylum personally. Why I am here? A single thread that seems to be rather nuttery free and well, just a couple hundred years ago, people used to visit the clownery for entertainment.
