I use to get sleep paralysis all the time also. I though I had to fight my way out of it because it felt so overwhelming. I later met someone that advised me not to fight it since it's when what they call kundalini energy is at it's strongest. You can hurt yourself since the energy is rising through your spine and and movement can strain your nerve ends. Funny thing is when he told me I had recently had an experience and got a stiff neck because of it, I thought I had slept wrong but now I know better.

Well to get to the point, this is a good time to have an out of body experience. What you do is just lay there and try to push all you're energy to you're head and try to project yourself out. If you accomplish this you will have an experience unlike any other. Oh and by the way if you see any shadows on the walls or anything of the sort, it means your body is vibrating at lower levels. Don't be scared just push it away with your energy. Also, it's best to get away from the body as soon as possible about a couple hundred feet, or else you can get pulled back in and wake up.
