I think that's why socializing and substances to get ya drunk or high was invented. Like a desensitizing to the appearance of possible mates then finally waste yourself. Obviously, OP has some serious issues when it comes to women but sweeping generalizations like this are always at least partially wrong.

And the same can be said for men. Most of them are not at all anything like what I am looking for in a man but that's my choice.

People are not all going to change to suit others. It's just up to you whether or not you chose to have a realtionship with them or not. For the most part, I don't. I don't find most of the men I encounter attractive at all and most have glaring character flaws, in my opinion.

So it's a matter of choice for each of us.

When they were young, he cheated on her a lot and she tolerated it. Now she is a prescription drug addict and he tolerates that.

Something very odd is going on here in America some of you may not be aware of, there is a very strong anti-woman movement taking place, there are websites that have popped up devoted to how evil women are, talk show radio hosts talk about it, and AMAZINGLY they all use the same words and phrases and ideas.

The same here.The very few couples that I know that have been together for years are situations like you speak of.Cheating tolerated,medication use,verbal abuse,sometimes physical abuse,etc and it was just tolerated for years.One old couple I know the man even had a couple of children with his flings through the years and wifie just sit there and tolerated it.Now that they are old people will look at them and swoon like its so wonderful they have remained together for years.Any woman with a backbone would have sent his ass to the curb years ago.Now that he is elderly and feeble she gets to look after his old cheating ass since he can no longer chase skirts anymore.What a deal huh.
