omg, I dont know what to do about my 100% negative Marine husband. Hes getting worse.....dm

if this is a true story, and your not a troll. I would do this:

Find a wonderful Christian church, evangelical, bible believing, outreaching concerned church.

I would go to church, if your not 'born again' I would ask the Lord to change my heart for Him.

I would pray both silently and infront of my husband.

I would curb my tongue, soften my tone, show concern and love and charity, for my husband, for my family, for my community and my church.

I would spend hours reading the bible, turn from the tv, movies and news and not engage with them, but if your husband wants to talk about the 'news' listen politely and show that you care what he is talking about. But don't add to the fuel or the fire.

Show him a better way to be. Be the way YOU want him to be. When he sees its not just a temporary 'thing', and that you have peace of mind, heart and soul, maybe he will become interested.

He is not happy in his skin, in his life or with the path he has choosen. But people dont automatically figure it out or have the energy, faith, know how to get off 'that path'.

The Lord will help you, he will first change you, and with adamant prayer and faithfulness, he will show your husband through you.
It takes faith, it takes time and patiance.
If you love your husband, you must first love God.

Talk is cheap, action is what will give credance.
Don't talk a lot about your change, just show him.

Get involved in charity work, helping others, fill your time creatively, positively and with good intention fulfilling needs of people who can not fulfill their own.
We can not change others.
We can only change ourselves.
And through dailey prayer, contact and intercession, can we ever hope to influence a change in those we love.

I lived in Ft lauderdale for three weeks once and it was three weeks too long.

You don't DO anything about your husband. Marine or not, the fact is that you should be a faithful wife. If he is being so negative its probably because he is unhappy with you in some or many ways. Honestly he is being polite, I'm sure he probably wants to smack you and kick your ass to the curb sometimes. Seriously, your not meeting his expectations, and instead of just saying it, he is being critical, its a common response. If you love him and you want him to keep you, then you should think really carefully about how best you can make him happy.

And for fucks sake the man is in the Marines, hes got all kinds of shit to deal with, including possibly shooting it out with some assholes in a shitty third world country for nothing, for a society that considers men like him disposable.
