How could Israel break a ceasefire if Hamas hasn't ever stopped shooting missiles into Israel. There's only so many thousands of missiles that a group can shoot at civilians, and still claim the high ground. Hamas has gone over their limit.

What most people are missing here is that Hamas and in particular their rockets and especially their command leadership are being eliminated for a reason.

Hamas is a p r o x i of Iran, and if there is a future attack on Iran, then Hamas must be dealt with first.

When they believe Hamas is weakened enough, the Israelis will likely agree to a ceasefire.

Israel killed a child and hamas members at the start of november, hamas responded by attacking a vechicle with IDF members on board. Israel then responded to this legitimite response by firing on the funeral of said child and hamas members. Killing two more children. Which caused Hamas to fire rockets at military posts, after an airstrike by the IDF there was a lull for a week or two which was broken when Israel assassinated the Hamas leader.
