Ive been ready,willing,and able for a decade but nothing seems different whatsoever. A relationship should be a two way street.

Ive done my part. I accept on faith what the Bible teaches. I only ask of God to show me. Doesnt have to be a burning bush or anything. Perhaps this feeling of overwhelming love Ive heard Christians have when God touches them. Or even just a voice in my head telling me He is there. But theres nothing...at all.
If God wants a relationship and all I have to do is "seek and ye shall find", it seems He is renegging on His own words.

Im not really sure what value that reply has either. Arbitrarily stating opinion as fact only muddies the waters. The discussion isnt about "do this or else", it was a basic question of why no miracles are performed now as they were then.

The accusatory tone as well as the fire and brimstone analogies are exactly the problem with Christianity as a whole.

By your logic, I should just follow Him because if I dont, I will suffer. That turns many away from Christianity and youll get nowhere stating such things.

If you truly were a lamb of God, you wouldnt say such things. As a follower of Jehovah, you are told to spread the good word and be patient with non believers. You are to teach, not degrade or judge.

I dont really believe in anything I guess. Big Bang makes little sense to me, as does Christianity. Besides the many glaring contradictions in the Christian Bible, theres a larger theme I just dont understand and its bugging me because I WANT to believe in something.Contradictions were created by man. Things were added and removed from the Bible and many other religious texts to fit the current regimes agenda. The larger theme you speak of is the fact that everything is connected, there is a Supreme Being that is in control and as long as you believe in the Supreme Being you will be saved/ascend/etc...that is what every religion from the dawn of time has tried to tell us, however those that were in charge knew this could be manipulated to their advantage

Whether the Bible is meant to be taken literally or figuratively, I believe it is all allegory, the books of the Bible had to be written in a way that future generations would be able to understand and many of the writers of these books didn't have what we consider "common" knowledge today. Such as fire and brimstone (sulfur) pouring down from the sky back then is what we would call a volcanic eruption or meteor shower today. Keep in mind though that over the generations there have been many incorrect translations and modifications to fit man's agenda so the original message has been lost/modified. In addition to that the way we think has changed dramatically. We now think in a more literal sense and if we cannot prove something scientifically we write it off...2000 years ago we wouldn't assume we knew what happened, we would assume it was God's will and leave it at that. Try and put yourself in the shoes of an ancient human...there are many things we take for granted now as common knowledge that the ancients would have no idea about.


My problem is WHERE ARE OUR Moses', Josephs, JESUS', burning bushes, big booming voices from the sky, healers of the blind, any true MIRACLES at all??? Our Moses, Joseph, etc are probably here. Yesterday's prophet is today's schizophrenic or "crazy" person. Food for thought...If Noah came on the news today and said we are going to be flooded everyone come to my ship! People would think he is crazy, off his meds and needs to visit the rubber room! Miracles still happen to this day but they are written off as medical advancements (even though the doctor had done the same exact thing to a previous patient and they died), luck or any other excuse someone comes up with the explain the unexplainable.

It doesnt seem fair that back then, GOD made himself noticable. God is still noticeable, you just have not opened your eyes to see. You are stuck in a pattern of thinking that makes you blind to what is actually going on around you. You've had the wool pulled over your eyes so to speak

I would think that God would make himself more available to a current population that has nothing to latch onto besides evil and bad things. People had a far easier life back then compared to now. Then, you herd some sheep, hunt, grow food, and watch a miracle or two. Now, we all work 25 hrs per day, take care of kids, worry about almost everything from GMO's killing us, to watching a world spiral out of control....all of this, and we're still supposed to make time for FAITH when it appears God has left us thousands of years ago.God is available, but you have turned away from him because you are more focused on material things...I was NOT easier to live back then. Hunting was not easy, they didn't have the weaponry and technology we take for granted now. Growing food was a crap shoot. They didn't have fertilizers, irrigation etc that we do now. What they did have was FAITH in God and in turn he provided a bountiful harvest and lead the hunting groups to the herds. In this day and age we refuse to believe that God will help us. We are on our own and creators of our own destiny, when there is a bountiful harvest we credit our hard work and abilities not God. The world is spiraling out of control, as God said it would if we turned away from him!

Sadly, the vague fulfillment of random prophecies in Daniel and Revelations isnt enough for me to change my whole life and blindly follow a religion. It feels like if there were a God, he has abandoned US when WE need Him most and what God would do that??If you would like a different perspective on this read "The Harbinger." You might realize more prophecy has been fulfilled than you have been lead to believe

Besides birth, DNA, and other banal nonsense, can a Christian please provide me with some insight as to where God has gone? Do you as a Christian think its fair that people 2,000 years ago got all the proof while we ( at the supposed end times) get nothing? Where are our healers, prophets, miracles? While religion is based on faith, one would think God would throw us a bone once in awhile on the same grand style of the old days no?Read above and this will be answered

You misunderstand you have free will. Bc you have free will their are consequences to ones actions. If you steal you go to jail. If you Kill you go to jail. With free will their is always consequences to ones actions. God gives you the choice to come to him who is love. But since he is also Judge if you choose not to, due to that action by pride or arrogance or being in rebellion you will have the consequence the same as those that rebelled from the begining. Hell is a prison to those that chose darkness instead of light.

The predominant thoery is to just not ask anything of why God does things, just shuddup and follow. Well, its GOD that made me so inquisitive right? He made us to question things and then gets upset when we question?? Is He passive aggrssive or something? God believes in fairness for all right? No group should be elevated above another right? Well, what if Im born in the jungles of the Congo and have never heard of your God? If trying to convert me from my heathen religion, why should I bother to listen when you tell me to just take your word for it?

Perhaps noone has the true answer, but either way, any God that elevates one group over another doesnt seem so Godly to me really.

If one chooses not to come to God who is love, Then you have already chosen The Other One because outside of God there is no love, Only Darkness there is no in the midlle. It's a punishment that is not meant for you but those angels that rebelled against God. If you choose that then you have chosen them and will recieve the same punishment they will.

So what you are saying is that..the God who IS LOVE..is also saying

You're taking it too literally. Stop thinking about god as a person. Start thinking about god as an energy. You can choose positive or negative. God doesn't damn people. People damn themselves.

Even an athiest will often agree that you can choose to live a life of happiness, or a life of tragedy/sorrow/anger.

Its in the mindset. I personally like to see the christian scripture as symbolic, not 100% literal. I think that is what many people struggle with when considering religion. It can be what it means to YOU. There are answers written out, but it is really about the perspective that you read it through.
