Dear OP,

From one human being to another, I just want you to be happy. I want nothing but the best for you and your family.

I believe in GOD. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. As well, I believe there is no Savior without GOD.

I believe if you are truley searching for GOD, He will reveal Himself to you.

Yes, I believe Jesus Christ is the truth and what is said to be written of Him. That He is the Son of God and Savior.

Not just because it is written but because of the personal evidence within my own life.

I do love you and wish you well friend. And hope ,oneday, you will come to realize just how much GOD loves you.

Pfft OP your a tard. There are miracles around you every day, right in front of your eyes. So blatant and obvious, that tards like you completely miss it.

As Lao Tzu sez'd:

"Thirty spokes
meet in the hub.
Where the wheel isn't
is where it's useful.

Hollowed out,
clay makes a pot.
Where the pot's not
is where it's useful.

Cut doors and windows
to make a room.
Where the room isn't,
there's room for you.

So the profit in what is
is in the use of what isn't."

Re: I really want a Christian to answer this...not a troll thread.
I personally have survived many years of harrowing physical crises - as in, I was supposed to die, and I did indeed see verifiable miracles where things made a sudden, positive change that the doctors couldn't even comprehend - I always knew it was God. He has saved me SO many times since I was young - they say a coincidence is when God acts and just doesn't get the credit - not that it's literally true, but we often overlook his presence when he has placed it everywhere for us to see - the Heavens declare the glory of God, the earth he made shows his greatness and beauty. Ask him to reveal himself to you - if you are seeking, it is because He is calling - you can feel that desire he puts in us to have purpose, meaning, to know our creator. Not everyone is tuned in to this - you are chosen to find him, do not stop until you do. He has a purpose and a calling for you right now at this time, seek him while he can still be found. Do not wait, as we do not know what tomorrow may bring. Speak to him, with faith that he hears you - I promise he will not turn you away.

And yes, it might be easier to see a "sign", some type of proof - but remember, there are powers of evil that can also create these signs - seek the truth, the source of God's love, not just the source of signs. If you check on youtube, just search the topic of miracle, miraculous healing, that type of thing - man raised from the dead, near death experience, etc. You will see what you want, but what you really need to see most, is what God wants to be in your own life. That is the biggest miracle I have ever seen, when a person finds Christ as their personal savior and the changes that begin to happen, how the old man becomes new. No physical healing or anything can outdo that - for only that one is eternal.

Here's a small example of a "miracle"

Don't get hung up on religion for they all know nothing of the creator but bits and pieces. Finds the truth within yourself and forget religion.

Here's the deal - freedom of the soul is absolute freedom. God won't impose, he won't make himself known, and he isn't going to allow *ANY* person to ever prove that he exists to another.

The only way he will ever prove his existence to you, is if you truly ask for proof. That's what is meant by people that are "willing."

"But he answered and said to them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
"

Listen, when you are IN repentance, you are NOT IN "sin".
Sin is what the body does, the mind too, I'm finding out.
Sin can be a healing fountain sans wellspring sans faith.
Understand we press the mark of the beast upon ourselves.
If we set up the rightful head of the corner, God awaits.

There's a lever, and a sign which reads good /OR/ evil...
God is both good AND evil. Jesus is NOT good, but single.

Pull the lever the right way, Jesus/God eats up our sins.

There we have it, the glorified body. Serpent bites tail.

This whole religion issue is way too confusing.
You don't get asked to be here, then you are tested to see if you belong in heaven, so that means you get a shit life on earth, loads of trials tribulations and suffering, and if you don't pass the test and end up pissed of with god for doing all this shit to you, you end up in an eternal damnation burning and suffering for ever .

Really?
So why would god put us all through this in the first place?

This is the man who made the world in 7 days, why not just wave his big magic wand and sort all the shit out and everyone can live in peace and harmony, no killing murder famine all that crap?

We will spend our days on this earth, die and that's it, no heaven, hell burning in a pit of fire, 70 virgins or whatever other stuff people believe in. Its an endless cycle of live breed die, until we finally destroy our selves altogether, or something comes down and destroys us (comet asteroid etc).

If there was a god, he left this place a long time ago, and he ain't coming back, that's why people are always looking for him, because he ain't there.

Re: I really want a Christian to answer this...not a troll thread.
Having a personal relationship with Jesus is all well and good....providing you actually HAVE one for real.

How can most of the ones who claim they have a personal relationship with the author of love be the most hate filled judgmental callous and hellfire torture breathing ones out there?

The hypocrisy is permeated in every church I have ever been to.

Thinking they are good and holy when they by their words and their action only show they are evil and unholy?.

They sit up on a pedastal and proclaim doom and torture and death as the invention of the Author of Love.

How can this be?

Isnt satan the author of doom and torture and death?

Was it not satan who was the first one to use pride which led to hate?

Then why do so many "Christians" and churches preach pride and hate and doom and death to all who dont follow their interpretation of things?

Isnt that satans way of doing things?

Ive seen thousands of so called "Born again spirit filled" christians hating eachother and everyone else with a hate and vehemence that satan would be very proud of.

Its all about threats of torture in a horrifying dungeon that GOD created. Cant God reach people without having to resort to torture as a threat?

Since when did God get into the blackmail business?

Isnt blackmail and torture SATANS domain?

Isnt it satans tactic to DEMAND people worship him on pain of death?

Isnt it satans wish and plan to MARK everyone on the planet and FORCE people to worship him as god ON PAIN OF DEATH?

Didnt Jesus say that the best way to tell good apart from evil is by its fruits or its results?

So how come the "Born again spirit filled" ones who claim to be full of the love of God preach the very SAME doctrine satan preaches,,,which is..worship ME or DIE?

(And the antichrist can only kill you once..it is said God will keep you alive in agony forever which is far worse)

How can God claim the high ground if he uses the SAME and WORSE tactics..threats..and FEAR that satan uses?

Either satan and god are one and the same being..

OR...

Satan has very cunnungly programmed most christians into accepting God has the right to be exactly what satan is.

A terrifying, megolomaniac, worship demanding, torturing, merciless tyrant.

God CANNOT be that.

So what is the answer?

Jesus was right when he warned of sending a strong delusion.

"The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and will all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

"And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

Is not what The churches teach and the current doctrine portraying God to be the same or worse than satan is about as deluded as you can get.?

force and fear and control and manipulation are blatant tools of darkness.

So is blackmail.

No one can deny that.

It makes me wonder why it is used so much by christians.

Its taught that good and bad fruit cannot grow on the same tree.

Foul and fresh water cannot flow from the same tap.

So how is LOVE and BLACKMAIL allowed to coexist together in current teachings?

If you have real love dwelling inside you right away you know just what darkness is.

Darkness does not know itself as dark until the light comes on.

Darkness is seen clearly in the bright glare of the light of LOVE.

If you continue in pride and contention and arguments and spite....if you still have a cold hard judgmental attitude towards others who do not agree with you...if you think of God as being a blackmailer and tyrant whos only effective way of gaining followers is to threaten them with torture...sorry to say..but all those things are of DARKNESS and proves beyond doubt..by their fruits..that the light has NOT come on inside.

Many can claim they said a prayer that changed them. But did they change?

Their main desire is to beat others over the head with threats of hell in the same way they feel God beat THEM over the head with threats of hell.

This is NOT love it is FORCE.

This is why NO love is shown BY them because NO love was shown TO them.

You can ONLY give what you have recieved.

If what you give is harsh judgment and you hold an elite attitude of "I am saved and THEY will burn" then you are only repeating the mindset of satan who is all about threats and force and blackmail.

God is LOVE and he who DWELLS in love ABIDES in him..IN LOVE..and IN God there is NO DARKNESS AT ALL.

If your entire christian walk is dedicated to telling others they will burn in hell or that they have to cower and cringe and obey laws and do this or that or GOD will get them...then you are preaching darkness because darkness is in fact what you have recieved within and so its all you can give and show without.

But if you let Jesus reign IN you and His love is REAL to you then you could not even THINK about threatening others nor would you have pride and spite.

Jesus said "I am MEEK and LOWLY of heart..LEARN from me"

So few DO..although they THINK they do but their words and their actions betray the true state of whats within.

If what flows OUT of you is darkness then its darkness that reigns within NOT light or LOVE.

Clean and dirty water cannot flow from the same tap.

You cannot say you LOVE God and HATE others. The two do not mix.

You cannot say you have LOVE within if you show PRIDE and spite without. Its only an indicator that NOTHING has changed within you.

This is the reason so many see christians as evil spite filled pride obsessed contentious hypocrites.

Because MOST of them ARE, as they cannot help but show their TRUE nature to the world. The nature of DARKNESS is evident even to those who still dwell in it and who have never met Jesus.

The world judges christians this way because EVIL knows its own. When something comes along that is MORE evil than the world the world sees this and knowing by NATURE the things of darkness is very quick to point it out.

The world LOATHES hypocrites.

So all christians out there reading this please be aware of what you say and do. ARE you being compassionate and loving? Or are you judging and hating and condemning?

Next time you feel like reacting in anger or spite or saying "YOU will BURN IN HELL for having such a veiw" keep in mind the pharisees acted the same way and we all know what Jesus thought of THEM.

Ponder this.

In times past God did show Himself to the Jews, but they still sinned against Him. He even performed miracles that saved their entire nation. They still disobeyed Him. At a certain point He decided not to show Himself anymore, because it didn't make much difference. Faith in the unseen God is one of the big points of the Bible. Have faith even though you cannot see God. Just trust Him and obey Him and He will respect you for it. It's a test.

The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ. Study bible prophecy hard enough and long enough and you'l see patterns that communicate to you in ways you never imagined.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15232842

You cant prove something by taking a snippet from the exact book thats causing my issues. Faith does not depend on prohecy. Furthermore, prohecies in the Bible are open to interperetation since theres no exact times given.

Why werent the Moses Israelites expected to believe based on prohecy alone? They got to witness plagues and free food falling from the heavens. By your logic, God shouldnt have done that. Instead, he should've expected Moses to follow based on prohecy right?

At that time, the whole old testament had already happened. There was plenty of prohecy to fall on...namingly the Old flood and Genesis where it explains death and childbirth and the reasons for those things.
Why did God see fit to overwhelm one time period with miracles while leaving us to fend for ourselves on faith alone?

If God made us with free will then he also has to give us a CHOICE. Right now...there is only evil things in this world. I see no good being done on a grand scale, so what are we supposed to choose when given only one choice?

Idk, for me, I need some sort of proof beyond words from the exact book im on the fence about. Makes no sense to do so otherwise.
 Quoting: Iamtheone

OP Your mixing up the Old Testament with the New. The old testament becomes clearer after you understand the New Testament. The Old Testaments ways didn't work due to mans heart being so dark and selfish. So God baptised\cleansed\flooded the word of the sin. He washed it all away, leaving a righteous family. Now he will gift you with the holy spirit which will give you the faith you lack. He knows your heart so don't fake it. He sees right through you so unless your truely seeking him, dont bother

Not exactly. The world is a duality because man is a duality. Christianity can be used for good just as easily as evil. Just as a man can.

God made man in the image of himself. So by all reasoning, God is both good and evil.

God is not the one who left. He sent Jesus as the final solution. Some like yourself have simply rejected that. In your own post, you cited and accepted as historical several of the Biblical characters and events, but pointedly rejected Jesus. What is “bugging” you as you put it is not a failing on God’s part, but an rejection on yours.

What good would another burning bush do? It isn’t about what you see with your eyes. Even the plagues didn’t change Pharaoh’s heart. It is about what you believe in your heart. It is about your soul that knows and understands things your brain doesn’t necessarily have to be able to process. You want to see and understand God? Then open you heart and stop depending on your eyes. His truth is there if you will only believe.

I know that walk. I'm 30 I came to God when I was 20. Taking the Cross and following him is no easy task. One thing he says cast your burdens upon me, he will give you rest. Also your relationship don't let it be religious but a relationship. When you get a chance and in prayer speak from the heart and say i cast my troubles and my burdens upon you Jesus. You give him your struggles and removes them from you, that you feel like it's not hard you feel light. The weight that you have will be lifted It has taken ten years to figure that out. The more people want to try with their own strength you won'succeed. Give him everything and you will see what I'm talking about. I hope this helpful in your walk

Thanks My Brother

It has been hard but I know what the rewards will be. I pity the OP in that he wants to be shown what is unseen. I started my path after I heard Him whispering to me. I listened. I learned and I am still learning.

I talked to the OP about fervent prayer. I realized that there are levels to prayer. levels you say? Yes there are levels to prayer. The best prayer is what is termed a breakthrough prayer that goes directly to the Lord. You actually feel the tingling when you a praying. There are sub levels to prayer that just don't reach as high.

I remember several months back when my good friend had his mom dying in Florida. All the family was called in from various places because she fell into a coma and life was slowly draining away.

When I found out I prayed fervenyly that she be spared and I felt that breakthrough. The next day when he arrived, the mom started getting better and eventually recovered. The doctors were amazed. When he came back to my area we talked. He said at one point when she was still coming through her delirium, she asked them to tell the stranger above her bed to leave.

His sister was with him and they just looked at each other and told the mom that there is noone in the room but them. She was adamant that there was someone above and behind her near her head board. I told him that God did that to bring you closer to the faith because I believe that he is important to his plans with us also.

The OP wants to see a full blown out miracle when there are many small ones out there happening all the time. He is just blind to them.

Faith will let him see, faith will keep him whole, and faith will let him move mountains.

God Bless

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Re: I really want a Christian to answer this...not a troll thread.
Ive been ready, willing, and able for a decade but nothing seems different whatsoever. A relationship should be a two way street.

Ive done my part. I accept on faith what the Bible teaches. I only ask of God to show me. Doesnt have to be a burning bush or anything. Perhaps this feeling of overwhelming love Ive heard Christians have when God touches them. Or even just a voice in my head telling me He is there. But theres nothing...at all.
If God wants a relationship and all I have to do is "seek and ye shall find", it seems He is renegging on His own words.
 Quoting: Iamtheone

My last try here:

Yes, a relationship is a two-way street. And God has done his part; he has held out his hand to you for a very long time, patiently waiting, not demanding, and not asking any price from you at all.

And you just ignore him. You want him to do something more awesome than becoming human and rising from the dead. You want it done for you personally, right now.

This is what you call a relationship?

You keep ignoring what he's done already, and while out of one side of your mouth you keep saying you're open, out of the other you keep mocking him and calling him a liar.

If you really want him to speak to you in any way, don't tell him how or when. You either believe or you don't, and you either treat him like your God and Savior or you don't. You just need to make up your mind.
 Quoting: Keep2theCode

What a great answer! That actually made me think. Its not that I need it right now. This has been a decade long venture. If time is indeed short, it would seem that God would make at least minimal effort.

We are aroind evil all day. If my child was seeking a light within the dark all while not succumbing to the devil in the meantime, I would answer my child immediately. Thats love.

There arent two definitions of love. Theres one. There are no conditions to love and yet God makes conditions. I seek to love a God who isnt returning it...at least seemingly anyway.

You dont have the luxury of picking certain passages in the Bible to prove your point and yet disregard others because they contradict eachother.
If Jesus says seek and ye shall find, I expect to find what I seek. I understand theres no timeline, but after ten years of honest seeking, Im left questioning more than ever. Seems awfully counter productive to what God is trying to accomplish...which I believe is just basic acceptance and belief in Jesus.
 Quoting: Iamtheone

Hello OP
I believe that I know where your fault lies in. After seeing your quote:
I believe is just basic acceptance and belief in Jesus.

That is where you are wrong. I am not trying to make you mad. Just listen. I had what you quoted and wondered the same thing, why won't he present Himself to me? As I said He took me on a path that I know now. The reason why so many people will wind up in the Lake of Fire is for that same reasoning you have.

That is like a lukewarm Christian. He doesn't want part of you He wants all of you. He had me read John in the Bible. In it He says that only through me can you reach the Father. You must give you life to Jesus not just believe in Him.

The day I gave my life to Jesus was the best day ever. I was traveling by car going over all the things that with open eyes I have seen that He made a difference in my life. I pulled over and wept like a baby. He saved me so many times through my life and it just dawne on me that He was always nearby protecting me. I asked them then and there to forgive me of my sins and that I was so sorry for offending Him. I asked Him to guide mty path and to put people in my way that will help me.

After that day, so much was opened up to me. I experienced many miracles and I talked to Him like I would do a Father. I argued one time with Him over putting supplies in my theater room one day because I didn't want to block my screen. Several days later my screen was hanging off the wall. So He won that fight. lol.

But in time our relationship grew personal and with a reverent soul you wcan here a response or get one in another way. Communication is always different with different people.

So yes, your way of just belief is just a small part of what you need.

God Bless

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Re: I really want a Christian to answer this...not a troll thread.
If we would see a human making miracles now would we belive he was Jesus if he would say so? Probably not.
