When did the Mayans explain that December 21, 2012 would be a doom date? That's because they didn't. It's a significant date for the Mayans because 2 things are going to happen -- it's when we align with our galactic center, and it marks the end of the 12th baktun, and the beginning of the 13th baktun. That's it. Nothing written between the lines. No doom. Hell, there's really nothing even written about a 'golden age,' or anything of that sort. All it is is an end of a period of time, and the beginning of a new period of time. That's it.

If nothing happens on Dec. 21, and we all are still here... well, it must have been the GLP Effect.
