Well, New York - being the "liberal bastion" that it is will soon learn the folly of their ways...They only think it's inconvenient now - give it about another 6 months. Within the surreal depths of "reality" lies the truth. |

Folks shouldn't be waiting for handouts from the Feds. All these folks wanting handouts are what is bankrupting this country. Romney had it right about getting rid of FEMA - communities can rebuild on their own if they just buckle down and get to work like the did in the old days |

None for us effected, all for feds! Last Edited by Bluebird on 11/19/2012 02:42 PM One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one. Romney had it right about getting rid of FEMA - communities can rebuild on their own if they just buckle down and get to work like the did in the old days Except that FEMA is now declaring some kind of historical value to these buildings and I don't think the locals would even be allowed to knock them down themselves now. FEMA declares the disaster areas, doncha know, condemns under their authority. One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28021545 Really, if they don't have the money, do it by volunteer instead. What if there was no government at all? What would the town do then, to repair the damage? They can't override FEMA now that FEMA is involved. It's FEMA that declares things uninhabitable after an area is declared a disaster area. They will have to get some kind of exemption from FEMA to do it themselves and now FEMA is blathering about historical buildings. Usually those have to be restored. Yes, they would be much better off to have never got FEMA involved at all. Some construction company would likely have demolished the building for the bricks if FEMA had not been in charge, One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one. They have commandeered a several story building complex that use to be Avaya's main headquarters. Now it's FEMA's and it will be in operation for THE NEXT 1.5 to 2 YEARS!!! I received confirmation from a local police officer. They already have a tent city up at Monmouth Racetrack as well. (see link below). [link to imageshack.us] Guess what? Whoever is monitoring the internet would NOT let this image to be viewed on the screen. I looked at the source code and found where it was sitting on their server and gave you a direct link. |

This gives you a hint as to what's coming down the pipeline - as in, much more massive destruction. They know rebuilding is a lose/lose for them as they will soon be bunker bound. Watch and learn.
