I used to be like you, but realized white people are just as dumb and lazy as the people i 'hated'. I didn't like them because I thought white people were better than them. Well that is obviously not the case.

open your own business and refuse to serve whoever it is you are racist against and you'll realise that its simply not worth your time or money to do that.

Try to look for what unite instead of what separates...
See the difference between culture (which may suck) and the people...
As there is a big difference between group mentality and meeting people more one to one...
When in groups context many of us start to wear a mask, bc of fear of being different...
One on one, we it's easier to be yourself
When we start to trust eachother, we will be better to be ourselves even in social groups...

Unfortunately, the environment you put yourself in will make your task more difficult. Especially since it can be difficult to discern between what is true racism, versus what is simply disagreement between individual cultures, beliefs, and life styles.

However, if you are determined to go this route, kudos to you. Some ideas:

Start focusing on how you and others are alike, instead of different. You all live, breathe, eat, pay bills, search for meanng, have or had families, go through similar life rituals, etc.

Start getting to know these people on a more personal level. Ask questions without being nosy of course, to get a better understanding of who they are, what they think, what experiences they have had. Listen as nonjudgementally as you are able. Then imagine yourself in their shoes and what your reaction to similar situations, upbringing, etc, would be.

Often when we find common ground, we find at least one thing to admire about someone who we previously only distained. It grows from there.

When you recognize a belief of your own that you now realize is no longer true (black people's skin shines so they are oily and never bathe is a common belief), then congratulate yourself and look for more such beliefs.

Racism is often an unconscious ploy by individuals to make themselves feel superior by looking for differences, and then deciding that they and "their way" is superior. It is not an admirable way to achieve superiority.

So often people think, "If everyone was like me, or saw the world as I do, or thought like me, it would be a better place!" LOL, imagine such a world. We would be robots, and all bored stiff. So celebrate the differences.

Actually, as a racist, you display your superior intellect. You have over come society's politically correct pressures and reached a valid conclusion independently. Blacks are in general inferior to all other races.
