PNW....This wx is typical during Turkey day week. We had many power outages onTurkey day from winds & lots of rain. What's different this year?

I'm 30 miles south of Seattle and it seems pretty typical for this time of year to me too. the difference is that this is an ARKstorm, and it has a very different signature than a regular winter storm. it's an anomalous event and has potential for major damages. this one has just begun its' cycle in the PNW, and it is something to keep an eye on.
