Sad for no reason?????

Simple. sunlight.

This is where I am getting disturbed about this feeling though.

You see, I have had S.A.D. in the past, but this feeling I have now is sort of different, can't quite put my finger on what it is though......

Go outside and take a deep breath.
Eat the sun.

Come back in and take a COLD shower.
Let the cold water run especially on your head.

You may be getting sick. Sudden, unexplainable and intense depression could be a symptom of an infection. Go see a Dr.

It's obvious that it's affecting you to the point that you started a thread about it, so get an answer from a professional rather than GLP...unless there's a Dr. on the forum as we speak.

Unless you have cycles of depression regularly...an infection is what comes to my mind...I am in no way medically trained...so see a Dr. and find out why this is happening to you.

OP I know what you mean yesterday I was the same, a really intense feeling of emptyness in your mind and heart, a strong desire to cry but for no known reason, loss of appetite, an overwhelming sense of emptyness like your in a void and you dont know what to do to get yourself out.

I am sorry that you are feeling sad...I've been having bouts of sadness lately. Hope you feel better soon.

its really deep almost like depression

an existencial kind of thing in my case, I see no sense in life.

but the last hour its been terrible

Everybody hold on, this is normal, though it's going to get more frequent. But know this is just a phase.

It's been happening since 11/11/12, it maxed during the solar eclipse, but most are still having these feelings.

I am actually feeling really energized and happy/peaceful this past week, but the weather has also been awesome and I've been outside a lot enjoying the cool autumn air and foliage.
