As long as we keep taking the Blue Pills, refusing to see the Universe as it really is, we will mistakenly assume that we have free will, rather than being the Bound Crowds on the streets that we really are. If the aliens "engineer" us, then they take blue pills too, and are as caught up in the machine as are we.

That is a discombobulated statement. I would like to believe that the overall bigger picture situation is one of a benign monitoring, but nothing like that needs to use nano technology. Humans however, would stop at nothing to use the same tech to do the exact same thing, and maybe that is under duress as we type and read.
