We now regularly hear about new ‘records’ being broken in the resulting crime waves that follow. Quoting: waht Law enforcement officials in Chicago, for example, have said that their city has deteriorated into a domestic war zone with gang violence leaving scores of people dead on a regular basis. Murder, rape, robbery and assault have skyrocketed in bankrupt Stockton, California, suggesting that local governments are quickly losing control. In New Jersey, the city of Camden may soon be granted the dubious distinction of being the poorest and most violent city in America. “On a walkway 20 feet away, a middle-aged man lies dead, shot in the throat and head, sprawled on his back beside a battered 10-speed bicycle. | Anonymous Coward User ID: 25463516 11/19/2012 09:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I live in Stockton, CA, ( per capita crime leader my bishes!). In the last week we've only had 4-5 murders and about twice that many shot but not dead yet. Anyway, we've broken last year's record for 187's by a solid margin, last year 56 as of today 66 and we've got almost 2 months to go! Interesting to note that the media does not publish the number of people shot who didn't die, over 270 people have Ben hit by gunfire in Stockton this year, "only" 66 died, if you have a GSW (gunshot wound) our emergency rooms are the best in the country! Anyway, the violence sounds bad, but its almost exclusively limited to turds ( aka blacks and Mexicans ) the criminal element- so it disnt really effect real people. People here know where to go and where not to go to avoid the "diversity" ,although we can hear gunfire almost every night when we're outside, especially during summer. Here's the deal, blacks Mexicans and southeast Asians are responsible for for almost ALL the violence, so it's not really a big deal. ( there's really no real "victims" just a bunch of "misdaneanor 187's" lol as the police say it!!! Property crime is pretty bad, the turds will steal anything not bolted down, burglaries and car theft are very common. Police won't do shit generally for 459's |

How are they to protect their property from looters? The police are spread really thin, no electricity for street lights, that area is a looter's paradise. I saw another thread here on the Forum, suggesting that Congress is ONCE AGAIN going to be considering some sort of National Gun Control law. They are going to have a difficult time passing it considering that a LOT of gun-less Libs live in those affected areas - wouldn't surprise me if the residents actually demand to be able to have guns again, for home protection. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes; drain. 2. In a large skillet, brown onion and ground beef over medium heat. Add spaghetti sauce, and simmer 15 minutes. 3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer as follows: 1/2 of the ziti, Provolone cheese, sour cream, 1/2 sauce mixture, remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce mixture. Top with grated Parmesan cheese. 4. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheeses are melted. Excellent recipe! 1) I saw no chocolate OR ganache in this recipe. 2) Looking at the recipe, I don't think chocolate would complement it very well. 3) DO you have a recipe for chocolate ganache? Maybe you filed it under "Baked Pasta Casserole"? 4) While no doubt delicious, how does this casserole address the topic of people being scared? 5) On the other hand, I'd much rather eat delicious food than be scared! I'm in the NW suburbs and in the last week there's been three restaurant robberies and several home invasions. I grew up in Chicago under Daley. I haven't lived there for over 30 years. too bad, it was a cool place to grow up. Hasn't Mitt authored and supported more anti gun legislation than (I'M NOT STICKING UP FOR HIM) Obama? And Reagan wrote almost all the California gun control laws there are still in effect today? My point is, you don't know who to believe when it comes to politics. Any more, or any where. |

Fire these people, downsize here, do with less... Government employment has been filling in for the lack of private sector jobs. So, in effect, people are going to go through all these economic austerities just to gather up enough money to make the minimum payment on a maxed out credit card. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28058145 Austerities will just extend the game a little longer. And the biggest reason why governments have had to create jobs because the private sector won't create them is because all of the jobs that could have been created by the private sector were created in offshore locales like China and India. All that cheap shit you bought at Wal-Mart doesn't look so cheap now, does it? Austerity doesn't lead to prosperity. It never has, and it never will. A race to the bottom eventually impoverishes everyone. But if your goal is to transfer wealth from the middle class, and take what little the poor have left and give it to the rich, it works perfectly. |
