Why do Jews think they are chosen?

They are Satan's children. They were put here to destroy the world.

The Romans killed Jesus during their occupation of Israel.

The idea is that the son of God/the messiah/God in human form, would be born a Jew. In other words, God "chose" them as the people among whom the messiah would be born.

And indeed, this was true. Jesus was indeed born a Jew.

Because the Jews don't recognize him as the messiah, they still believe they are "chosen." In reality, the WERE chosen, and as the messiah has come, the point is now moot.

Dont they seem like meek humble people? Anyways not everyone believes they are chosen anyways.

Also, because they were "chosen" to recognize the one god concept - they had quite a few to chose from and settled on yahweh who eventually became the main god. They lost their "status" as it were when Jesus arrived. The jews thought their Messiah would be King over all people and hence make their people god's number one group. What they didn't realize was that the Messiah came to proclaim god's love to all people and to proclaim the brotherhood of all. The jews at the time disagreed, thought Jesus was a fraud and a bit of a looney and decided he had to go. They had him arrested and the rest is history.

They are chosen as they and their children are guilty for crucifying Jesus. If a new Messiah be born, would they treat him differently? I think so too.. the audacity for them to claim their chosenness. I dont think they know the living god, but live out the idea of their predecessors rather seeing and seeking god in life.
