TVA buying thousands and thousands of SKS ammo

My guess would be if what we are hearing about turns out to be true (or even close) with regard to the grid going down for up to several weeks beginning on/around Dec 21st, it would be predictable for many, many VERY PISSED OFF uninformed citizens to descend on utility companies everywhere to "demand" that their electric service be "turned back on".

TVA personnel may be particularly vulnerable because many of its utility offices/substations are located in very rural areas?

What did your very reliable source say about why the TVA chose to use SKS ammo?

What kind of gun(s) use SKS ammo?

SKS ammo is universal I believe.

It works in both the SKS and AK47.

SKS ammo is a funny way to say it
that would be 7.62x39mm
this cartridge is also used in Mini-30s, Ak-47s, and some AR-15s. While it would be disturbing if TVA is buying this quantity of rounds to call them SKS rounds is a bit of hype

What Biochemky couldbe true. TVA control a lot of the plants and dams here in the south so either they stock piling it to be prepared or (crazy theory) they were told to get it because the round it self can be used against military or law enforcement and they wanted to get it before the civilians could.

This is coming from a person that works security at a TVA plant. I can't say much more then that.

They carry 12 gauge, AR-15's, and 40 MM. Why would they need 7.62 rounds?

that would depend if it's 51 or 39 .....much better reach out and touch someone with 7.62 x 51 (308) than the current loads they carry .

My ex-hubs is in upper management with TVA. He hasn't heard anything of this nature. He will be checking into it and get back to me.

What if most government agencies have all been required to buy this ammo in an effort to inflate the prices to such an extent nobody can afford it? I wouldn't put it past our government to attempt such a thing, and since they know they can't simply eliminate the second amendment, maybe those agencies that can get away with it are instead buying up all the rounds they can (with our tax dollars).

Not sure about the TVA, but certainly the others might have some form of plausible deniability....

Exactly, why stock up on ammo if you don't have the weapons in the first place.

If you buy it all up, there will be none left on the shelves. Kinda like snow in the south, everyone rushes to buy milk and bread, and the store shelves become empty.

P.S. I am not a rocket scientist.

If you dont have a stockpile of bullets by now its too late.
