Did NASA just disclose Nibiru?!?
I've been on e fence about Nibiru/Planet X/ or rogue brown dwarf stars skulking about our solar system...but this article just out almost seems like NASA is confirming everything people hypothesized about Nibiru.

The article at [link to www.nasa.gov] discusses how they found a possible brown dwarf or planet 13 times the size of Jupiter....orbiting its companion star...was detected in the infrared wavelengths...170 light years from Earth.

"Comparing the two images taken half a year apart showed that Kappa And b exhibits the same motion across the sky as its host star, which proves that the two objects are gravitationally bound and traveling together through space."

[link to www.nasa.gov]

I mean I'm not saying this is Niburu...but I find it funny that they don't mention what orbit it takes. They have been studying it for about a year, but wait until today to mention it....and neglect to mention its orbit.

I'm not running to the hills just yet, because if something like this was incoming prepping would be pointless there isn't much we could do about it.

I read the press release too, no mention of its exact trajectory or orbit. Anyone care to see if I missed anything? It's my first thread, please be nice even though Im slipping into Nibirutard-fear land as we speak. ufo56

Re: Did NASA just disclose Nibiru?!?
Relevant point of article:

Kappa And b orbits its star at a projected distance of 55 times Earth's average distance from the sun and about 1.8 times as far as Neptune; the actual distance depends on how the system is oriented to our line of sight, which is not precisely known. The object has a temperature of about 2,600 degrees Fahrenheit (1,400 Celsius) and would appear bright red if seen up close by the human eye.

It orbits it's start at a distance of 55 AU.

There are 63115 AU in a light year.

The star it's orbiting is 168 light years away from Earth.

So yeah, it's never coming close.

According to the article, Kappa And b is twice as far from the primary as Neptune is from the Sun, so the period of Kappa And b is going to be on the order of hundreds of years. It won't have moved enough along its orbit in the half year of study to be able to determine any details about that orbit.

So Nasa is run by idiots? They just said themselves that a super massive brown dwarf, visible in the infrared spectrum, orbiting its companion star, traveling thru space....only 170 light years from Earth...sounds like a "Nibiru". But if denying that a rogue super planet COULD exist (even though NASA just said so) helps you sleep at night more power to you.

I was just asking for help understanding the article (learning disability) to see if I missed its orbit, or did they purposely leave it out. So if you have nothing to add why did you even bother?

My thoughts exactly, but stars are not always stationary, right? They do move in space but relative to the planets that orbit it? Or am I misunderstanding how they drift? I would assume if our path crossed with anything this size solar system chaos would ensue.

Does anyone know if a brown dwarf would have the same density or gravitational pull equal to or less than Jupiter?

get off the fence, it is not here, that is black ops shit. It was here 2000 years ago and you christians celebrate it on your Christmas cards as the star of bethlehem. If they are 170 light years from earth I don't think they are coming here. I doubt they know what orbit it has. lets not make everything into nibiru please.
The actual Lord's Prayer Given by Jesus 2000 years ago.

"MY SPIRIT, YOU ARE OMNIPOTENT. YOUR NAME IS HOLY. MAY YOUR REALM BE INCARNATE IN ME. MAY YOUR POWER REVEAL ITSELF WITHIN ME, ON EARTH AND IN THE HEAVEN. GIVE ME TODAY MY DAILY BREAD, AND THUS, LET ME RECOGNIZE MY TRANSGRESSIONS AND ERRORS, AND I SHALL RECOGNIZE THE TRUTH. AND DO NOT LEAD ME INTO TEMPTATION AND CONFUSION, BUT DELIVER ME FROM ERROR. FOR YOURS IS THE REALM WITHIN ME AND THE POWER AND THE KNOWLEDGE FOREVER,

I have read that according to some, Nibiru is not a planet but rather an inter-dimensional vessel! If so, it could pop into our reality at any time with no forewarning! That said, this is one I'll believe after it happens!!

I was only on the fence about the possibility of the existence of a rogue super planet or brown dwarf. I don't believe anything of that size is anywhere near us, if it was I don't believe anyone could survive. So I don't believe the Bethlehem star was Nibiru....fact of the matter is I'm not Christian by definition....the Bible is tainted knowledge so it should be viewed as such instead of definitive proof of anything....but that's just my opinion and you are free to believe whatever makes you happy.

Well if it ends up being that they can pop up anytime they feel like it, again nothing we can do right?

Did you ever see that tv series The Event? It played on tv and they made it super confusing to follow. I recently watched all the episodes on netflix and it was edited in an easy to follow way. Weird. Anyhoo, it has an inter-dimension planet shift into our orbit via Einstein-Rosen bridge. And then the damn series cancels! Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak!
