Sorry if these are stupid questions, but it is really confusing to me why Hamas throws rockets over when Israel just wants to use the Gaza Strip as defense against terrorists. And why are there people who are saying Israel is attacking Gaza? There are so many tweets right now about the atrocity of Israel and love for the Hamas. It's as if people are ignoring the fact that Hamas are terrorists and blame Israel for the terrorizing.

The only reason Israel hasn't gone in already is because they are worried about International opinion. They aren't scared of a few Muzzies in Gaza.

Hamas is the same for the most part. They have anti-tank weapons now and some other arms that are better then they were but they still don't stand a chance against Israel.

Also Egypt is "backing" them. Egypt supports their fellow Muzzies in Gaza but they aren't guaranteeing their protection or anything like that. Egypt doesn't want to fight a nuclear armed country just because a few Muzzies in Gaza can't keep their finger off the trigger. The only reason the USA is giving Egypt aid is because they keep peace with Israel. If Egypt went to war with Israel it would lose all it's aid and face other consequences. It's economy is already in shambles. They can't afford to get any worse.

If a ground war starts it will be similar to the war a few years ago. Egypt won't join in. It will just be Israel and Gaza.

My biggest concern is Iran. I doubt they will do anything but there is always the possibility. They are nuts after all.

Honestly I think Israel should use Gaza to get a new peace treaty with Egypt. Let Egypt annex Gaza and keep the peace. It would be a win win for both sides. The people of Gaza wouldn't like it but who gives a damn about them? They were the ones who elected Hamas in the first place. They don't want peace so as far as I'm concerned they lost their say in their future. They had their chance for peace but choose Hamas instead. I'm tired hearing about the innocent people of Gaza. They want war as much as anyone. They were the ones who picked Hamas to run things. They are responsible as much as the leadership of Hamas. They are also willingly acting as human shields. I don't see why anyone should be pissed if they get killed. Israel has been warning the "civilians" to stay away from Hamas. If they are across the street from Muzzies launching rockets then they should expect to be killed.

You must have been away for a long time. Things aren't what they were, they've been 'changed'. Not many see it though, its kind of sad.

THIS is a great analysis! How so most of the citizens of Israel feel about going into the Gaza Strip? I assume they are all for it. And has Israel just about had enough? How much weight now does international opinion have on this considering Hamas will never honor a peace treaty? Israel knows this also, so I'm surprised they are even willing to discuss it.

Have you considered the possibility that you're many years of forming a geopolitical opinion by watching the scrolling headlines on the bottom of CNN has made you stupid?

Its cute how you seem to think that one side in this are the good guys and the other are the bad guys. It is far from that simple and there is a ton of blame to go around to both parties as well as everyone else involved. What we have here is a shitstorm of epic proportions brewing.

First of all, CNN sucks. Secondly, I was just reading up on the history, just facts, not opinions. My question wasn't biased, because I really don't know. I was attempting to understand the history of it all.

These wars in the Middle East just make me want to cry and bang my head on the wall.Have missing of the seventies - when there were movements against wars.
