You need a history lesson. The territory was taken during the six day war, a war started by the Arab states and won by the Israelis. This is not stealing the land. The Siani Penensula was also taken, but given back to Egypt in exchange for a peace treaty. Egypt didn't want Gaza back.

If you want more of a history lesson....since nether Isreal or Egypt wanted Gaza, it was given the right of self determination. However, extremist groups took control, ones dedicated to the destruction of Isreal. As a result, Isreal has been forced to keep a close watch over Gaza as a form of self preservation. This has then been labeled an occupation, when in fact Isreal would like nothing more than peace from their Gaza neighbors.

Gaza is so so tiny of an area, hard to believe it is so hard to get things under control without the whole world getting in on it.

Indeed Israel is way ahead of Hamas in weapons and technology, but Israeli soldiers are not used to "Man to Man" battles as they are used to attacking unarmed families and children with stones, a ground invasion in Gaza would be deadly for both sides but keep in mind, Palestinians expect many of them to die and they are preparing for it so it wont be a shock, Israeli Soldiers expect minimal deaths but it wont be like that, it will be a huge mental breakdown for Israel to see the amounts of unexpected casualties.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has agreed to postpone a ground operation in Gaza for 24 hours to try to reach a ceasefire, Al Jazeera Arabic channel reports.

Israel is justifying their attacks to the world as they have more Israeli Agents in Gaza than Palestinian soldiers. They will cease fire, 24 hours later they will shoot them selves from Gaza towards Israel so they play victims, and probably aim at a few Israeli civilians so they justify their cause and get everyone angry. And then all-out wipe will be in Gaza, they will do this because, why not?
